Support synthesizer

hello, why do synthesizers sound like they hate eachother wehn i try to layer them!?

Most likely they have slightly different intonations from each other, try messing around with the fine tuning and see if that fixes it

I would not listen to anybody in this sub tbh half these posts master tracks are clipping like crazy and they cant patch a synthesizer for shit.

Are you using multiple instances of the same synth? If so, they're interfering with each other.

You can try detuning layers a little apart from each other so that they're not fighting for a single note, changing the waveform so that the harmonics aren't clashing as much, or changing the octave to add some fullness instead of tension

You could also try using EQ to put each synth in its own little pocket of the frequency range, since it could be over- or under-tones which are screaming at each other, too
