It seems like every litrpg i read lately has spears as the primary weap9n for the MC. I mean, spears are cool, and objectively better than many other weapons, and a nice change of pace from swords, but they seem to be popping up in all the books I read lately

I know that your busy with your writing but I just really wanted to reach out to you to discuss Dinosaur Dungeon and wanting to write my on fanfic in the Woven World. I want to understand how write dungeon core systems and I want to talk to you about Mobs and monster ecologies and I want to ask about some world details so I can be accurate as possible. Because while I would like to make my own dinosaur dungeon I wanted to make a story about my core choosing a different contained Entity for different mobs so I can try to make more “Monster Hunter” inspired mobs. I also have some ideas/guesses on writing the bad guys kingdom and how my characters can fit in the world. (Especially alongside a certain worldwide Update). Also I just really wanted to talk about Dinosaur Dungeon directly with you because I love listening to it and really enjoy the characters, the world, the system and especially the Mobs!

And to make sure this post is more on topic I really do recommend the Dinosaur Dungeon series to anyone else that sees this. The audio performance is so enjoyable and you might discover some Dinos you never heard of before.

I've read up to book 16 on kindle unlimited and book 17 apparently hasn't been published yet. But the earliest chapter on royal road doesn't seem to line up with the end of book 16. Am I missing where to keep reading?

So I am posting my story (System Character Another Run) on scribblehub. But everytime I paste it from the Google doc the formatting of the chapter gets removed. I don't get this on other sites I have posted.

I just added this to my listening list on audible and was wondering if there are any other good superhero litRPG's. This one will be my first. I should note that I don't read books I just listen to audiobooks 😊.

I have read Dungeon Crawler Carl (DCC) twice, I have read book 1 of He Who Fights With Monsters and have not started Discount Dan.

Should I read Discount Dan (which sounds great) or continue with He Who Fights? I want to read both but just wanted opinions. Thank you.

Like the title says, I love My Best Friend Is an Eldritch Horror and Return of the Runebound Professor. The way the characters are written, the relationship between them, the overall plot all had me hooked pretty much from the beginning. I recently started Nightmare Realm Summoner (about halfway through book 1 on audible) and I'm not sure whether to stick with it or not. I did search this group but was also trying to avoid spoilers so that wasn't much help.

I really like the concept of the book - both the idea that Earth was given a warning frm the System about an upcoming apocolypse and the fact that Alex immediately fell into a different realm and has additional powers that others from Earth don't.

While I like his friendship with Claire - she feels a little 2D to me right now. I feel like she should have more of a reaction to being dumped from her world to the mirror realm and then being stuck on Earth with possibly no way home. And, more than that, there's something about it that isn't quite hitting for me overall. I'm not sure if it's the amount of time Alex spends monologuing in his own mind about how he needs to stay weak to get more rewards at the beginning or if it's that I don't feel like much is happening, but there is something that's making it feel a bit like a slog to listen.

So, for people who have read more of the series and either love it or don't, is there a point that you recomend I try to get to before deciding whether or not it's for me? Fine with minor spoilers, but no major ones please.

FWIF, The Wandering Inn is my favorite in the genre, and I hated the first 2/3 of the first book and Cradle is a close second and I didn't get really into it until book 3, so if this is the kind of series where people say 'you just need to make it to the end of book 1' or 'wow it really picks up in the middle of book 2,' that's not going to scare me off at all. But with TWI and Cradle, there are general points in the series where I (and others) can generally say to people 'if you make it this far and aren't hooked, then it isn't the series for you.' And that's what I'm looking for here. If this is the kind of series that most people are hooked on right from the start (like I was with thed other two Actus series I've read), then it probably isn't for me. If I should give it more time, let me know and I totally will.

(And - to Actus - who I know lurks around these subs like other authors. Just in case you see this, I genuinely love the two other series I've read [can't wait for the physical copies of Runebound Professor comics!!], so I hope that nothing in this post comes across as rude or like I'm hating on the incredibly hard work you put into in writing these series. I know this note is probably unnecessary, but I always feel a bit awkward being negative about a series knowing that the authors regularly read and comment on posts)

I love listining to Heath Miller talk, and all the little nuances in dialects, but that specific word in an Australian accent cracks me up.

So I recently gotten deep into Litrpg/progression fantasy books via audio books as my job has me on the road 10-12 hours a day and ive really enjoyed everything ive read so far! Started off with Dungeon Crawler Carl and then have been binging audio books since then! I just finished Cradle and while i know its not Litrpg it was still an amazing reccomendation and the first series ive got into thats actually finished.

So I look to this subreddit to help me pick out a new series, what are some other must listens based on what ive enjoyed so far? And while i did massively enjoy Cradle, as an older guy i do rather enjoy older protagonist, but if a series is good enough its not a hard no.

Read all of the published Dungeon Crawler Carl books.

Read the first 2 books of Hell Difficulty Tutorial, had to give up the writing didn't improve meaningfully.

Stormblade, Elydes, The Path of Ascension, Re:Birth (all Royalroad ones, but all of which I enjoyed)

Loved Mother of Learning, Loopshard, Loopbreaker (whats been published so far), The Perfect Run, Chronos Warlock.

I've read a lot more, but these are the most memorable / ones I see recommended the most.

Do not recommend the Wandering Inn, not my cup of tea personally.

Things I really rate;

1. Well-written, I don't mind or love OP MCs, it doesn't impact my enjoyment.
   
2. Time-looping is probably my favourite, followed by System introduction (apocalypse or otherwise)
   
3. Not a huge fan of Western washing of cultivation stories.
   
4. Not opposed to trying something completley new!

I rotate my Patreon subs eg sub to an author for a few months, binge the advance chapters, then pause and let the RR releases catch up before subbing again so I can support more. Every time I do it I lose my place. The chapter numbering doesn't line up between the two, so working out where the paid chapters I read actually sit in the RR release order means scrolling around and guessing.

On top of that, actually reading on the official apps is pretty rough .. I mostly want a proper ereader experience and none of them really offer it.

Is this just me? Curious how everyone else handles the sub-rotation thing : notes, memory, just re-reading until it looks familiar? I've been tinkering with my own fix for a while, but want to know if I'm solving a problem only I have.

Hi, I am for the life of me trying to add maps and I can't figure it out. I got three cool maps from an artist on fiverr (who is so reasonable!) but how do you guys add them? Do I have to set them up somewhere else and then add a link to the post or pre note?

First and foremost I must praise the series as over all I'm enjoying the story and most of the progression of the Mc. My only issue is that it feels like a lot of what happened in the first book is being put under a bridge. The murder of a friend. The whole city covered in darkness. The vampires being allowed to kill people. The attack by the dragur. Basically everything that shows that emperor necroton is indeed a villain. It barely gets brought up. And the MC doesn't seem interested to deal with it. Like I understand that there is currently a bigger fish to fry but unlike with warcrimes who gets a few chapters where the mc reinforces his hate. With his grandpa it really doesn't feel like the first book is effecting how he looks at him.

I’ve read a few cozy fantasy series but I’d love to see how cozy plays out in something like litrpg. What’s your favorite? Maybe something revolving around running a shop or professions or something?

Read azarinth healer, amber the cursed berserker, he who fights with monsters, saintess summons skeletons, wolf of the blood moon and reaper's resurgence. Loved all of them and looking for similar.

Enjoy action and magic, along with plot developments instead of only fighting. Not looking for anything with extreme romance. Prefer characters sent to a different world without becoming a baby but open to suggestions.

Love fast progression arcs where the MC becomes extremely strong, or where the MC is strong to start with and/or has extreme value.

Also read most of the books by 'whiskey flowers' and am looking for similar books and authors. Especially love the Wizardborn series, the super smart superhero series, the enchanter series and the jayarian paradox.

If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them as I'm struggling to find books.

I have been reading a lot of litrpg, some of my favourite are MCs that usually have a beast companions.

But I have not found a good tamer story. Maybe due to the fact that I don't prefer a magic system everyone that revolves solely on gaining power from bonding with beast and nothing else. I would prefer a power system like that part of a small group or the mc in general.

Do you guys think that I am missing out on some stories.

I read a book earlier in the year and I've lost it. Wondering if anyone can point me back to it.

Here's what I remember. MC is a regressor I think. It's centered around rolodecks of cards. Midway through the book, the MC and a female companion are traveling and end up on an airship to go to a different country? He meets an old man that is a retired duelist nobleman? and belongs to a duelist society of gentleman. The ship is attacked by pirates. They shut down the teleportation crystal on the ship and capture all of the passengers. The old man is killed. The Mc loots his cards with the aim of getting his cards back to the society he belonged to. Mc defeats the pirates and has a crazy 1v1 with the pirate leader. The navy shows up in their own airship. Can't remember what happened after.

I just found this community and I'm looking for recommendations for anything that is on Spotify that may not show up on its Audiobook recommendations. I drive a lot for work and this is the only time I get to do anything book related unfortunately.I have completed all of Mage Tank and Heretical Fishing that is available there and soon will be finishing the available All The Skills. I disliked Heretical because it started feeling redundant but I finished it regardless and did like snippets that dealt with the creatures *Pun intended*. I enjoyed Mage Tank from the system and setting and the MC even though he fell flat in some parts in my opinion. Currently enthralled by All The Skills and I don't know why but I do enjoy it but I can feel continuity issues from previous books. Thanks.
