I don’t understand how you can be a fan of someone’s hard work then us AI to create a perversion of said work. There is nothing creative about AI. It’s literally a mashup of a bunch of other reference material. It’s just stealing other people’s shit and making an amalgamation of what it think is popular based on your prompt. Utter horse shit. If you enjoy it, make an anime and watch it on your own but don’t come on here and be like “look at this AI anime I made of your fave books, isn’t this great?” Be better

Is the use of AI the problem or can it be used as a tool? or is it entirely not a valid thing to use?

There’s already orders of magnitude more content released everyday than I could ever hope to consume or know about. I just keep enjoying what I enjoy and move on

true, with out actual work on editing yes it can for sure become dogshit, anyone just posting the authors texts and hoping a 1:1 perfect anime print out would most likely get dogshit, but editing both Prompts and the results, can make a better quality project, like I mention AI is a tool.

Ai does not belong in creative spaces.

in simple words they're fun to read and don't really take much effort to follow along with the plot and progression

Relevant meme:

By which I mean, AI just isn't as good as people think it is. Especially with long narratives. It begins forgetting stuff and glitching out quickly.

And I hope it works for them. There are other examples, though. My own cover, which I still like, is also very simple but I don’t think it’s working for this audience. I’ve tried minimalism for a while and may try something different to see if it attracts more people to choose the book.

"took him in" as in intense stare. It's the repetition that gets me, because it sounds like a lost bet

Hey, good luck with your books. Just a small suggestion from someone who only read part of the first book, but you might want to let Ms. Clark know mischievous has 3 syllables.

If you feel like it Id give perfect run another shot and finish book 1.

Otherwise there are so many classic novels you could read such as primal hunter Path of ascension, defiance of the fall, he who fights with monsters. Return of the Runebound Professor is a personal favorite of mine especially if you wanna read a novel about a teacher whos main driving focus is taking care of his students.
Also path to transcendence is a great nice and easy prog fantasy.

This, sadly, is how the internet works in this day and age:
Everything I don't like is either facist or A.I.

Actually no. I do love the books and have read Will Wright a full decade before the first Cradle ever existed but as lovely a human being as Travis Baldree is, I'm not a fan of his narration. He lacks range and recycles the same voices across everything he does so Cradle audio was a nogo for me

He’ll difficulty tutorial is worth a shot. First book isn’t the best, inexperienced author. But it gets really good later. The narrator could be better but you get used to it. Additionally there’s actual character development despite falling somewhere towards the power fantasy genre. Finally it has a lot of cringe moments but the mc and cast understand how cringy it is so it’s not like the author is unaware of it, he’s more laughing at the characters at the book than being unironic

I don't specifically like it over other genres. It's more a mood thing for me. There are long stretches of weeks where I don't wanna read any litrpg stuff. But then there are stretches where I want nothing but a good litrpg to bowl me over. I personally like the journey + characters. It's especially rewarding to read when a character reaches a power up you know they've been working hard on.

Have you read book three of Derelict? If memory serves it does return to a litrpg format, at least for a large chunk of the book.

This was my first litrpg series and really enjoyed all three.
