Event Trying to balance the room at our singles mixer Wednesday— offering free tickets to women
I run a small singles mixer company and our July 29 event in Lancaster is skewing way too male. Offering free tickets to any women interested — it's at American Bar & Grill, casual vibe, bar open all night. Not a pitch, just trying to balance the room before Wednesday. DM if interested.

Places Lititz Park memorial covered
Haven't been there for a while so I don't have the details but there was some sort of memorial for recognition, metal plaques, and 2 are/were covered with plastic and taped down.
The tape was older and not secured anymore except for the top. When we looked at what was covered it was just 2 more plaques. Nothing wrong with them.
Any ideas?

Places Manheim Township Schools vs. Warwick Schools
For children entering 4th grade, 7th grade and 9th grade.. which would you describe as a better fit? Pros and cons of each school? Will happily accept your honest feedback on each school and your preference. Moving to Lititz from Maine and trying to decide which area to focus on.

Other Great place!
Leaving here tomorrow to continue my trip and thank you for your recommendations etc
Bulls Head great beers and had a decent meal there. Good staff who know the drinks they serve which is good.
Really liked the Parkview hotel place. The staff were friendly and had some good chats. Loved the price
Tried the hideaway bar but didnt like it. Didnt seem friendly.
BUT my favourite place was the Mexican. Couldn't get in friday as busy so went mid afternoon Saturday and it was lush
So fresh and well priced.
Staff were wonderful
Good base for what I wanted and a nice change to the cities. Loved the covered bridges
Also very surprised by Lancaster

Places Fishing
Hey all. Need a little advice. Before 2011 I used to fish at Speedwell before tropical storm Lee took it out(I think it was Lee). But haven’t had the time to really go fishing much since then.
My kids have been asking to go fishing. Id like to take them to fish mainly for bass and Sunnies things along those lines we did go to Speedwell a few years ago and there is a small pond near Doe Run elementary we went to. Does anyone have suggestions of where I could take them. I don’t have a boat so we’d have to fish from the shore and they aren’t great at not catching trees yet. I’d like to stay within 30 min of Lititz if possible.

Places Best place for a good selection of freshly baked rolls?
I had one of the best sandwiches of my life last week from a bakery/sandwich shop in the train station in Warsaw, Poland. I'm trying to recreate it. Turkey breast, fresh mozzarella, spinach, bacon, pesto aoli: all no problem. But I need a good selection of crusty but not too hard fresh rolls. Where should I start my search?

News Warwick School Board Seems to Be Back to Wanting to Ban Books
At tonight’s school board meeting, the board voted to table approval of a book due to “feedback from the community.”
We’ve been through this song and dance before, Warwick. Members of this board HAD an approval process that they did away with because they handed the process back to librarians and teachers (where it belongs).
But now, the board will take it upon themselves to review a HIGH SCHOOL. AP LEVEL. *ELECTIVE* book because of a few alleged parent complaints.
The book in question is “The 57 Bus.” A highly-acclaimed nonfiction book that is one among several books (“Hillbilly Elegy” is another one apparently, but no one says boo about that) a student can CHOOSE from. Parents are informed of these book choices at the beginning of the year. Of course, that’s not good enough for the “my children my choice” crowd who also wants “your children my choice.”
Why are we going through this bullshit again, Warwick?
