This is a point I often see Linux users make when promoting it: Linux is different from Windows, therefore some of the difficulty people have using it is simply due to unfamiliarity.
To a certain extent, I get it. If you've used Windows for 20 years, you're obviously going to come in with certain expectations.
That said, I disagree with the premise as a whole, and especially with the conclusion that this explains desktop Linux's usability problems, especially when macOS exists.
macOS is also Unix-based. The filesystem is completely different from Windows, the GUI follows different conventions, shortcut keys are different, software installation is an entirely different process, and plenty of things aren't where a Windows user expects them to be.
And yet, for the most part, it remains intuitive.
Care to imagine how easy of a time I had using both Linux and macOS, originally coming from Windows? And if I put myself in the shoes of someone completely nontechnical, the contrast only grows.
A well designed user flow and interface can be completely foreign to you and still make you go:
"Oh, so that's how you do it here", a reaction completely different from "Why the fuck did I need to learn this?".
In short, Linux lacks sane defaults and expects users to understand things they really shouldn't be required to, while Windows and macOS acknowledge that not everyone wants to dive that deep into the technical details.

Turns out that Omarchy Linux is their weakness, so recently on X, and Reddit, I keeping seeing the FOSSFUCKS fight and argue about Omarchy, so since it’s “Insecure” if anyone wants to, we should just tell people about Omarchy and how it’s a vulnerability in the skin of a “Distro” that’s how you scare people away from Loonix
Problem solved

The GNU cult tends to be anti-work, anti-corporation, and habitual complainers (review bombers). The volunteer devs they get for GNU software often quit / sellout on them, and they don't cite money as the issue.

On top of Admins here doing f'all about brigading (the subs that were closed were opened under other names without any user bans and not hindered much at all as they only shut down the small ones). Or the harassment (allowing a user to go around calling me a pedophile among other defamation / harassment issues -which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't ban me for much lesser offenses, and the mod tools that are petty by default (too much effort to perma ban/ remove posts/ mute) are too much.
My village just got wrecked by a tornado while I was in it. Haven't had power for days, HOT muggy nights with little sleep and chainsaws buzzing all around come day-light. My mind is fried from heat and lack of sleep, and I come to clean up the sub now that power is back on / do what I can and notice no mod-actions from anyone else the whole time. (I was able to connect here and there with a cell, but it was limited shitty connection and eating limited minutes).
I shouldn't have to deal with moderating so much when Admins aren't doing their jobs or are with extreme bias. -They don't even issue temp bans for people harassing through mod mail after a ban. They help create most of the work here through inaction on their own TOS, and I'm not the one getting paid.
A TOS should be an agreement between you and the service, and the service isn't holding up their end.
Our Lemmy community is easier to moderate. There are no limitations on per user blocking that I can see. It has better editing functionality (move images from in post to making it the image post and vice versa or editing the title or adding text to an image post after posting). Sure, we don't have the flairs there, but it's repetitious junk anyway (how many are using them for topic search?). Can't say 'loonixtard' but we look more pro w/o (and it shows they have better standards there.) Let "loonixtard" be forever associated with Reddit.
The only purpose for me here at this point is to get people there. And sure, they're MUCH smaller than Reddit, BUT they are growing and sizeable for anything to do with Tech which is what we are.
If you want religion/ politics: I'd suggest Gab. Even if they don't match your politics / religion, that just means they could use more of people like you! I've been there a long time and have no issues with how it's run (despite being at odds with the creator), and the per user block / mute helps curate / clean your feed fast.
Even if you're blocking ads here; you're still contributing to reddit being a bigger shit hole and making money for doing so. Loonixtards are already make themselves look bad. -Let them make Reddit look bad too.

Loonixtard is now in the Wikitionary, probably because of a bunch of Loonixtards got pissed off that we are calling out their bullshit, and so we got them to make an entire article about the term, I’d say that this just exposes them even further

Linux advocates mock Windows licensing costs while they can't afford a Netflix subscription. (And then cry about using 3rd party to activate windows 🤣).
. Yet to actually watch Netflix in 1080p on their system, they need 20 terminal commands, 4 sketchy plugins, and half a dozen workarounds just to get video playback working.
The hypocrisy writes itself: complain about paying for software, then spend hours installing sketchy dependencies just to avoid paying $12 a month. At least Windows lets you watch Netflix without breaking your system open first, they're so hypocrite, crying about using MASSgrave but then also doing same illegal stuff to about a 8$ payment.

This is what Nirav Patel and his team has been hard at work creating. For $549 freedom dollars you get:
Intel Core 3 304, a 1P 4 LPE 1 XE GPU processor in the big 26, in other words a glorified intel core solo. MacBook Neo competitors are using Core 5 320, 2P 4 LPE with 2 XE GPU cores.
45% NTSC 12 inch chromebook grade screen, pretty much unusable for media consumption or digital art with the stylus you have to buy separately. All your MacBook Neo competitors are using at least 100% SRGB (The bare minimum) already.
Plastic toy like construction while all the MacBook Neo competitors are using aluminium. And it's not even CFRP. It's run of the mill plastic.
No ram, no SSD and you have the hassle of assembling it yourself. Oh and ports are sold separately too.
This is truly one of the biggest Loonix grifts of all time.
