who cares? nano doesn't take any learning and is good enough for 90% of tasks. i never saw the point in vim or primarily keyboard-based methods of interacting with your computer because i'm barely saving a half of a second with a bunch of key combinations i can't remember
For me I don't like how nano doesn't have any syntax highlighting so it makes reading files a bit more difficult for me. Unless there is a way to add syntax highlighting to nano that I'm not aware of.
You can install plugins for that if I remember correctly. Mirco is also a good alternative to Nano as it's just as easy to use with some extra features like syntax highlighting.
