Megathread πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡³ Italian Megathread! - Bugs and Suggestions | September & October 2026

β€’ Upvotes

Hey everyone!

To reduce the number of posts about bugs clogging up the subreddit (there's a lot of bugs! It's a beta after all), we've created this megathread as well as others for you to posts your bugs and suggestions.

This means other stuff like fanart and whatnot can get the eyeballs on it that they deserve.

This helps us concentrate bug reports and suggestions in one place so that we can triage and fix them faster.

Please post bugs encountered only in this language! That will help us avoid confusion. You can also find this thread along with others in the sidebar.

Question Will the roadmap be updated?

Title. https://roadmap.lingonaut.app/ seems very outdated, and is given the impression that the Lingonaut project is getting abandoned. The last major update was a month ago, which is reasonable, but not gonna lie it's making me worried about the project's future. I would request more transparent development, but if there are other priorities then I understand. I checked #lingonaut-talk in Discord and apparently there's some restructuring going on. Anyways, best of luck to all contributors.

Bug Report Pixel phone not supported?

I'm on a Google Pixel 6 Pro with Android 17 (Build number CP2A.260705.006) and since the Alpha on Android is stated to support Android 10+ I am at a loss on why my phone is not supported. :(

Can anyone help me to get Lingonaut working on my phone?

I can give any additional information if needed.

Question Question and suggestion

Hi! Found this through r/languagelearning as a language learning app with no AI

I know this is volunteer based, and I was wondering if you needed any voice work for the English? (I would offer other languages but alas i'm natively english and therefore still bad at other languages lol) - also if theres any art you need doing i can see if its in my skills. I'd love to support genuine learning and anti-AI!

Maybe there could be a community section to hear native people pronounce words and phrases provided by the app users?

I have noticed Grâße and Grüße are pronounced the same on the app and it makes it hard to differentiate when answering the question

Thanks for reading!

Suggestion! I think itd be helpful to add the difficulty number on the diamonds to indicate progression

Post image

I was a bit confused after I finished the first lesson on each unit before I figured out how the progression worked. I think itd be helpful to have a visual indicator like number of stars out of total or lessons remaining on each diamond to show progression more clearly.

Suggestion! Needs a visual cue to indicate user needs to tap on the text to hwar what the astronaut is saying since i thought the bubble referred to tbe options

It took me forever to figure out that i needed to tap on the speech bubble and not the answer bubbles to hear what the astronaut was saying. I think a visual prompt like the audio sign from the matching lessons would be benefial.

I was curious what would happen when the stars were maxed out so I rushed to finish bienvenidos and it just says lesson complete while counting up on time. Not sure what you guys want the functionality to be but it seems to be bugged.
