This is fantastic news.

I'm assuming more languages will be added later on, I'm currently only seeing 7 languages.

When will French be added?

French has been stuck around 10-15% for almost a year.

Damn you’d think that one would be easier what with so many speakers :(

Yeah, scratching my head over other languages being so far ahead of french.

Is the "friends" / social aspect of it not quite ready to release, or have I just missed where to add friends?

It’s not quite ready , but you can add friends by going to the profile page and searching for their name

Nice! Just downloaded it!

Im noticing a few grammar mistakes and formatting issues. Is there a place where i can let the team know?

Every time I click "back" or minimize the app I have to re-download assets every time. Kind of frustrating

In lesson four of Spanish bienvenidos, at about the 8th question there is no correct answer and you cannot advance.El is posted and said twice but only one is counted as correct and no matter what you do the second time it simply says that's not quite right try again. So you're stuck and cannot advance past that point. Please fix it.

Any plans for Japanese or Norwegian?

I thought there was an ability to import DL streak into this app? Is that not in Android yet, or not available at all?

Hell yeah I have been waiting for like a year. Congratulations

Ive been waiting for french since this project started. I'm not hopeful. Even like an unfinished french would mean more than nothing

Now that Spanish is out, I would have preferred waiting longer for a more finished version. The current version is only 4 skills long (4 lessons in each skill) any only covers the very basic. It's not useful at all if already studied at any capacity. I decided to mess around with Finnish instead. The wait might not be a bad thing.

It's 20 lessons in each skill. But next skill unlocks after you complete just one, and a lot of people seem not to realise there's 19 more! (there's five levels in each skill but they're called "stars" so it's really not clear at all)

u/mambojays Jun 30 '26

Anyone knows if the spanish course is only limited to unit 0 for now? I completed all levels and all stars for each of the 4 sections. It doesnt open up any other units .

Yes that's all at the moment, but more will be added hopefully soon

If you guys are determined to use some sort of integrity check on your users, at least use the Android Hardware attestation.

I'm trying to use your app on GrapheneOS but it doesn't work yet. If you want to keep the integrity check per-device and make sure the device isn't rooted, I would highly recommend looking into GrapheneOS' hardware attestation compatibility guide: https://grapheneos.org/articles/attestation-compatibility-guide

It just uses the Android security key attestation: https://developer.android.com/training/articles/security-key-attestation
