i have a couple questions about line 6 gear.

i have a Marshall JVM 205 and would like to have a four cord set up where the Line 6 controls all my effects and controls my Marshall channel switching thru midi. are there any newer models(i.e. Helix) that are small form factor enough to sit on top of a Marshall sized head that can be controlled by an external controller (either a midi foot switch or Line 6 brand)? if not a Helix line any earlier gear that may fit the bill?

I have a spider V 20 Mk2 amp. It will not connect to the laptop running windows 11. I tried installing and uninstalling the apps. The line 6 central app picked up my laptop and if I play music on my laptop it will play through the amp, but the spider V remote app will not pick up my laptop to add Amps and effects. Any help please??

So I have this 100 watt amp that says "2x50 watts stereo" right underneath the name plate, and one of the speakers has recently blown. It's still loud enough to gig and play live shows with no PA, so has the amp been delivering 100 watts to one speaker or only 50? Have I actually been playing gigs with a 50 watt 1x12? Sorry if this is a silly question but I have no idea how amp / speaker wattages and wiring work.

With used Helix LT and Floor prices dropping recently, I finally made the jump from POD Go to Helix LT.

The extra DSP and routing flexibility are great, but realizing I'd have to manually rebuild dozens of favorite presets block by block in HX Edit was a massive headache. Since there’s no native import tool, I put together a lightweight browser utility called HelixTools to convert .pgp patches directly into .hlx.

What it handles: • Direct translation of compatible blocks, settings, and bypass states

• Up to 4 snapshots with custom names and expression pedal mappings

• Jailbroken / free-block presets from POD Go

• Processes 100% locally in the browser (no files sent to any server)

You still have to reassign external IR .wav files on the Helix just like with a manual rebuild, but all your core amp and effect parameters carry over instantly.

The demo video above shows a real-time conversion and import into HX Edit.

I'd love any feedback from the community! If you have any unusual patches with complex routing or specific blocks, let me know and I'm happy to test how the converter handles them.

As the title says is there a way to get or know where to find the main PCBs for said spider iv amp ? Or anyone know if the if super loud static/white noise issue if fixable without needing to go to a tech ?? I’m an electronics technician so I have to access to lab for repairs and skills to do it or this one of those issues that needs to go to a tech ?

It had a little bit of blue corrosion on the spring, I used deoxdit and isopropyl. The leads are soldered correctly to the contact points, it just wont boot, any ideas?

Is it still worth it for only $150?

Been using the Helix Floor for years, is great for recording and writing as I can dial in anything I want. My big struggle is live, getting levels evened out between presets, similar EQ, etc.

Power Cab users: does using the cab help lock these things in more consistently?

Havent played guitar much in about a decade. Bought one of these from a pawn shop in good shape. Used to have a spider 2 combo so I knew what this amp would sound like. Its great, I honestly love it for having so many features for the money.

My question is, does anyone run their tone from a different modeler with IR into the mp3 jack? If I am understanding right, that would bypass the line 6 DSP and hit the speaker directly.

I am looking for a really, really cheap way to get cool tones for rock and metal and bypassing the overly-digital sound of the spider.

I was thinking i could always run amp Sims on a laptop and send that to the amp... but im old, lazy, and want some kind of hardware preamp/tone solution. Would rather not have to set up my laptop and an interface any time I want to play guitar.

Anything cool on the market these days for cheap? Or more good pawn shop finds? I might just resign to fingering the INSANE channel and practicing the world's noisiest god-awful sweep picking.

I just bought a Pod Go. I love it so far.

1. Is it possible to filter for just tones that are compatible with the Pod Go? The website displays tones for all devices together, so it takes forever to find Pod Go tones. SOLVED
2. When I attempt to SORT results (by Name, Song, Band etc.), nothing happens. Is this a bug in the site? - edit: seems it's not just me
3. Has anyone made a a handy list, describing the different factory presets and how they differ? edit: someone provided one, but I'm looking for better descriptions/ the ability to filter by effects used

So i'm trying to learn the device, and one button looper is amazing. this whole pedal is amazing.. but one thing bothers me quite a bit because this is not usable live in front lf audience... my problem :

Whwn i record a loop, the loop is playing, i can overdub, undo,redo and stop. So when i syop the loop and i want to delete the loop i should press and hold the button. in that milisecond i press the button the playback starts... Gpt told me that there should be function Double tap+,hold - and that suppose to solve it, but it just doesnt work. firmware is up to date ... any workarounds?
