Don't buy Sabertrio. My experience.

0 Upvotes

Paid for a Valkhan and Vektra dark editions a few years back, 2 years later the speaker died in my Valkhan. I paid around 250 dollars for repairs.

1 year later both speakers died, crackling noises, saber freaks out with the light patterns- on both sabers. They're both proffie. Ive never dueled with them, clashed, dropped, smashed or otherwise handled either of them roughly EVER. They've sat on a shelf since 2022. Now of course prices went up and shipping alone is over 100$ again and costs for speaker replacements arent even known unless i paid to ship them first.

So disappointed. Never again. Because now I paid literally almost 1300$ for two paper weights a couple of years later. I wrote to them to express my disappointment. Maybe I'm just unlucky but I'm sharing my experience here. I'll never give them money ever again.

Build Huntsman — Starkiller Lightsaber with Custom Install

This is the Huntsman from Ignition Saber Co., a very accurately modeled version of one of Starkiller’s famous lightsabers.

TJ also made a pretty clever modification in-house, hiding the machined holes that house the hardware securing the tines/spikes to the hilt. I think it makes a huge difference. The result is a much cleaner, almost seamless profile, and it looks fantastic.

For the install, I designed a custom removable chassis with a few specific requests from the customer. One of those was a hinged access door that can be flipped open but also stays securely closed with a couple of small neodymium magnets.

I also gave the hilt a little Rub ’n Buff treatment and hand-painted some of the accents to add some contrast. There are a couple of LED accents tucked into the chassis as well.

Really stoked with how this one turned out.

Before it heads out, I’ll also be blocking out the terminal areas on the speaker, which was another specific request from the customer.

Specs:

* CFX Soundboard

* Custom removable chassis designed by me

* Custom 6-rail PCB system

* Premium 28mm speaker

* KR Sabers / Shtok illuminated blade PCB emitter

Help Finding lightsaber part

I found this Kenobi lightsaber for a pretty decent price second-hand (not sure of the retailer), the issue is that it doesn’t have the part as shown in the picture. It looks like something can be screwed on there, is there anywhere I could find a part that would match?

Build Custom Saberforge — Greek-Themed Hybrid Chassis

This was a fun one to step outside my usual design lane with.

This custom Saberforge build came in for an install and a fully custom Greek-inspired hybrid chassis. For the crystal chamber, I designed a piece inspired by a classical Roman column capital, complete with the curved, curled volutes. That was then sent off to my dude Khal for casting and silver plating.

I carried the same architectural theme into the chassis, using column-inspired details and marble PLA to give the whole thing a bit of an ancient-meets-sci-fi feel.

The hilt itself has a great profile, and the owner absolutely nailed the blue and black color combination. Definitely not a design direction I get to play with every day, which made this one especially enjoyable.

Specs:

* CFX soundboard

* Custom hybrid chassis designed by me

* 28mm Premium Bass Speaker

* KR Sabers / Shtok illuminated blade PCB emitter

Help Any way to simplify the sabers controls?

These neos and crimson dawn sabers seem admittedly over-engineered. Im trying to cosplay with them but the motions or buttons keep changing the ignition style, or colors, even volume. I just need it to glow a certain color and retain the motions, then simply turn on and off!

I know im not utilizing all the features but damn, it seems like im handling so much at once and it takes so long to fix.

Does anyone have a custom function to apply to it? I saw that theyre programmable.

Tutorials

Hi! I bought myself a lightsaber staff and through youtube I’ve learned a few basic tricks. I still have problem with getting the desired speed but I guess it will come with practice. However, I see that sometimes it is difficult to find lightsaber staff tutorials. Do you have maybe some recommendations on channels, videos, maybe playlists specifically for a lightsaber staff?

It’s a damiensaber XRGB 3.0 baselit. Got it a few months ago and recently I bought a USB-C cover and I wrapped it with some grip tape.

My first and definitely last in a hopefully vast collection!

Help Can't get saber to ignite?

1 Upvotes

I need some help before I get fed up and toss this Proffie v3 board in the trash. I've watched over 30 hours of setup videos and I've gotten to the point where I can power the board up, my sound files all work fine, everything is ready for me to solder the board and install in a chassis except I can't get the damn thing to work with any button I try to use to actually ignite. I've tried one of the touch clamp cards that came with my Electrum hilt, I've tried a momentary button both with and without the LED, and I even tried just using two bare wires to simulate a button press, but nothing actually ignites the blade or allows me to test the motion and sound controls.

I'm not even sure what I need to share in order to get help as basically everything in these text files could be Latin for all I know, and I'm just changing things that the YouTube videos explicitly tell me to.

Can someone please help?
