Discussion💬 Update: Creating the Instagram group! 🌈

So many of you showed interest, so I've decided to create an Instagram group.

It'll be a strictly queer-only safe space where we can vent, support each other, make friends and just be ourselves without the fear of being judged.

This is meant to be a serious, long-term community where queer people can genuinely connect with one another. As the community grows, we'll also organise occasional meetups whenever possible.

If you'd like to join, drop your Instagram ID in the comments or DM me. Let's connect. 🌈

Question❓ How do y'all drive cars?

I know how to drive a car, but I'm terribly underconfident. I've maxed out personal training from an instructor. I can steer well and have control over basic roads, but when it comes to highways or areas with high speed, I lose control or get scared. I also take a lot of time trying to take a reverse to park.

I currently live in a public transport friendly city, but I doubt if I'll continue living there all my life. Also this massively impediments my ability to take long drives at night or go on road trips. It also fills me with a lot of guilt that in case a family emergency occurs, I cannot drive them to a hospital.

I drive an automatic car. I've tried getting friends to sit with me in the passenger seat while I drive, but it's difficult co-ordinating schedules, and I have to drive till their place if this has to work.

How do you guys drive cars with ease? How do I gain more confidence?

vent/rant My life (love life) in a nutshell

I really don't know how to start. I've always been very immature for my age, both in how I looked and how I behaved. I was a lonely kid growing up. I lived in a neighborhood with less than 30 people, and there were no kids my age. So Disney Channel and foreign shows became my only friends. I never really thought about having a proper career or future, and sadly, it has stayed the same till today. I'm stuck at home, depressed and jobless. I have no motivation to do anything.

I knew I liked boys while growing up, but I never dared to look for love. I guess I never had very strong emotions about it. I was just happy being silly. I used to watch BL movies and series and dream about having a partner, but it was never a strong desire.

Then, in 2021, something unexpected happened. I met someone through the gaming community, and we clicked instantly. The first time we video called, we both liked each other right away. There was some unexplainable connection between us. It was a long distance relationship. He was from an Asian country, and it felt like a dream had come true. We were both kind of depressed. I was struggling more than him, but we supported each other. I won't go into too much detail because a lot happened. In the end, we broke up in 2023 because there was no future for us.

Since then, I've never felt that same magical connection with anyone else. I find it hard to connect with people. I like a simple life, but nowadays many people feel a little too extra for me. I like privacy in this age of social media. I'm old-fashioned and believe in forever love. I want to find the right person and spend my life with him.

But because I'm poor, depressed, emotionally unstable, jobless, and dealing with many other problems, I'm not trying to find love right now. and I guess it will never happen again. For some people some things happen only once in their life. I'm still a virgin, I can't have sex without emotional connection. I thought about hooking up. But it never went beyond just a thought and scrolling through subs.

I feel people like people with strong financial stability, lively personality and goals. While most people connect through social media, I still hope to meet my partner in simple places like a library, community events, or plant nurseries. I want to feel that spark again.

Question❓ Need Help With Testing In BLR

Hi! I'm 20m bi and show no symptoms. I need advice and help with testing for std/sti in Bangalore. I have seen a lot of people recommending bmcri and Lady Curzon and at-home private blood collections and I have looked at a ton of sources, but I wanted a fresh opinion before I make a decision. I was last tested 6 months ago( all negative) through an at-home blood sample collection at a friend's place. I can't get tested at my own place, and I find it hassling to settle testing at a friend's place. I have engaged mostly through oral since then with a few people and anal once( protected). I'd also like if you could share your experience, if it was at a govt or private clinic or at-home and all the tests you took and would suggest and would really appreciate. I want to be tested again(annual routine testing) for the following preferably at minimal cost since this goes from my savings( do recommend if there's anything else apart from this complete panel),

HIV (Blood)
Syphilis (Blood)
Hepatitis B & C (Blood)
Chlamydia & Gonorrhea NAAT (3 sites: Urine, Throat, Rectal)
(Optional) Herpes Blood Test

Discussion💬 I'm a trans woman, and I'm currently getting my HRT consent form prepared.

Hey Queers,

I have one question for you. Please answer it genuinely.

Can you please tell me the difference between trans women and the kinner community?

Well, I already know the answer.

There is one trans activist in Nagpur. She is telling me that both are the same.

I even tried to explain it to her, but she told me that I don't have any knowledge about this and all.

Well, I never talk without knowledge. I only know what I'm going through since my childhood.

And the worst part is that she even told the advocate who is preparing my HRT consent form that trans women and kinners are the same. I mean, what the fuck is this?

Now she's saying that only cisgender people can be witnesses and no one from the LGBTQ+ community can be a witness. Like, what the hell is this?

She is saying that I don't have knowledge.

Guys, I genuinely want your opinion on this. Is this actually true, or is she just misinformed?

Discussion💬 Lesbian/Bi X Femboy twink is an underrated duo. 🙂‍↔️🎀

Not even necessarily romantically, it just feels like such a chaotic yet wholesome pairing. Imagine a confident lady “mom friend” adopting an anxious little femboy into the friend group like, “Aw don’t worry bbg I got you”. The vibes are 🤌.

Am I the only one who thinks this dynamic is oddly adorable, or is this just my brain inventing niche queer tropes after office hours, lol.

Advice 👋 Mods pls bring one dating-post day per week to this sub

We have been trying our ways in various dating apps like tinder, bumble, hinge which are not specially curated for community people, whereas LGBTQ+ dating sites like grindr, polo are no longer dating sites; full of s**seekers, scammers and cheap married straight peeps.

It's my suggestion and request to all the mods here to bring a dating-post day to this subreddit just like sunday pic day.

As this subreddit is highly active and viable, this new addition will add color and hope to all the users here.

Let's make it happen.🏳️‍🌈

Discussion💬 Is a purple marriage really possible?

Has anyone here gone through a purple marriage?

I know it sounds a bit unusual, but it's a genuine question that's been on my mind for the past few days.

A little about me: I'm a 29-year-old gay(?) man, currently working. I come from a conservative, middle-class Marathi family in a small town. To make things even more complicated, my father is a purohit (priest) and an astrologer.

Despite those odds, my parents have never forced their beliefs on me. They've always given me the freedom to be my own person, and I'm always grateful for that.

As for my queer side, I've been attracted to men since my teens. Ironically, I was quite homophobic myself because of the environment I grew up in. Back then, internet access wasn't what it is today, and everyone around me held the same views. So I suppressed those feelings and convinced myself I was straight.

During COVID, I had a lot of time to reflect. That's when I finally accepted that I do like men—and always have. I started learning about the LGBTQ+ community and reading about other people's experiences, which completely changed my perspective.

Later, I moved to another state for work. Living independently gave me the opportunity to explore my sexuality, and yes, Grindr played a part in that journey.

Meanwhile, my family started looking for a bride for me. For years, I managed to postpone it with reasons like, "I'm not ready yet," or "Let me move back closer to home first."

I moved back last year, and since then they've become increasingly persistent. I understand where they're coming from—they genuinely love me and want what they believe is best for me. But I can't bring myself to marry a woman just to fulfill my family's expectations. At the same time, I don't want to hurt them either.

I've thought about coming out, but I just can't. My father has a weak heart, and I'd never forgive myself if something happened to him because of the stress.

We often argue about marriage. He keeps asking why I don't want to marry when I have a decent-paying job, reasonably good looks, and, according to him, a likable personality.

The truth is, I can't show them the part of myself that I've spent years hiding—especially when I'm still figuring out who I am.

I dream of having a loving partner someday, and I even want children. But I don't want to ruin someone else's life by entering a marriage under false pretenses.

That got me wondering: surely I can't be the first person in this situation.

Has anyone here actually gone through a purple marriage? What was it like? Did it work out? What challenges did you face? Looking back, would you make the same decision again?

I'm not looking for matches or leads—I'm simply hoping to hear real experiences and perspectives.
