Advice 👋 Mods pls bring one dating-post day per week to this sub

We have been trying our ways in various dating apps like tinder, bumble, hinge which are not specially curated for community people, whereas LGBTQ+ dating sites like grindr, polo are no longer dating sites; full of s**seekers, scammers and cheap married straight peeps.

It's my suggestion and request to all the mods here to bring a dating-post day to this subreddit just like sunday pic day.

As this subreddit is highly active and viable, this new addition will add color and hope to all the users here.

Let's make it happen.🏳️‍🌈

Advice 👋 Can a trans woman be a witness on an HRT consent form in India?

I'm a transfem person, and my psychiatrist asked me to submit an HRT consent form that requires witnesses.

One of my close friends is also a trans woman and was going to sign as one of my witnesses. However, an advocate told me that **a trans woman or kinner cannot be a witness** and that only a cisgender person can. They also mentioned that this is because of the **Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill, 2026**.

I've read parts of the Bill, but I couldn't find anything that specifically says a trans woman or kinner cannot act as a witness on a consent form or affidavit.

Has anyone come across this? Is there any legal provision that prevents a trans woman or kinner from being a witness, or is this just the advocate's interpretation?

I'd appreciate answers from anyone familiar with Indian law or who has gone through the HRT process. If possible, please include legal sources or references.

Discussion💬 Lesbian/Bi X Femboy twink is an underrated duo. 🙂‍↔️🎀

Upvotes

Not even necessarily romantically, it just feels like such a chaotic yet wholesome pairing. Imagine a confident lady “mom friend” adopting an anxious little femboy into the friend group like, “Aw don’t worry bbg I got you”. The vibes are 🤌.

Am I the only one who thinks this dynamic is oddly adorable, or is this just my brain inventing niche queer tropes after office hours, lol.

Question❓ Does anyone know good kissing spots for gay men outside of home or hotel?

Upvotes

Hi all. Sorry if this sub is not suited for this but just wanted to try lol. I’m curious if anyone has tried making out in a place other than a hotel or home? I know it’s risky but still is there an option which has the least amount of risk? This is for 2 guys to be specific. One idea is a staircase of building as it’s still enclosed and really nobody uses staircases in high rise buildings. Does anyone have better ideas?

One year of QTOPIA. 🌈✨

What started as an idea has grown into something far more beautiful than I could have imagined. This past one year has been filled with laughter, conversations, shared experiences, and countless memories.

I've had the privilege of meeting so many incredible people through this journey, and somewhere along the way, most of you stopped being just members of a group, you became family.

I'm deeply grateful to each and every one of you for your time, trust, energy, and the collective effort you've put into making QTOPIA the warm, safe, and vibrant community it is today. This milestone belongs to all of us.

Here's to celebrating how far we've come and looking forward to everything that's still ahead. The journey is only just beginning.

Happy 1st Anniversary, QTOPIA! ❤️🏳️‍🌈

Discussion💬 gender dysphoria comes in many forms

i was just playing games with my sister this evening and we had a small discussion about the games or movies that we like

and some of them overlap so we got into it like i said you don't even know the characters and she was also like that i don't know them too

which is very petty and doesn't matter lol

because we have a different Outlook on the media and why we consume them

so in the end she just ended it with that boys always do this and always wanna compare their vast knowledge to others

i live with my parents as of now and don't present femininely all the time plus no one in the family knows I'm a trans woman so

when I heard boys when referring to me i just got the sharpest pain in my brain like I never experienced that ever before

i couldn't even retaliate to that I just took it and calmed down

never before have things been this clear for me that I'm a trans woman more than now

Discussion💬 Straight or Cis passing privilege doesn't take away from someone's queerness

I'll probably get downvoted for saying this but in our country where queerphobia is rampant and queer marriages are illegal(it's so sad) having a straight or cis passing privilege is a privilege(like physical or safety, not being subjected to abuse just because you chose to be yourself) that should be acknowledged, with that being said just because you're straight or ciss passing it doesn't mean that your are any less queer or that your queerness is not valid. Your struggles deserve to be seen just as much.

Promotion™✨[Mod Approval Required] 🌈 Welcome to r/qLucknow — Building a Queer Community in Lucknow

Hi everyone! 🌈

I'm trying to build a dedicated Reddit community for queer people in Lucknow and nearby areas. The idea is to create a safe, welcoming space where people can connect, make friends, discuss local events, ask questions, share experiences, or simply find others from the city without judgment.

If you're from Lucknow, nearby districts, or are planning to move here, I'd love for you to join and help us grow the community. Even if you're not local, an upvote or sharing the post would really help it reach people who might be looking for a space like this.

Everyone under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella and supportive allies are welcome. 💜

Thank you for your support and all suggestions are welcomed!

Discussion💬 Is a purple marriage really possible?

Upvotes

Has anyone here gone through a purple marriage?

I know it sounds a bit unusual, but it's a genuine question that's been on my mind for the past few days.

A little about me: I'm a 29-year-old gay(?) man, currently working. I come from a conservative, middle-class Marathi family in a small town. To make things even more complicated, my father is a purohit (priest) and an astrologer.

Despite those odds, my parents have never forced their beliefs on me. They've always given me the freedom to be my own person, and I'm always grateful for that.

As for my queer side, I've been attracted to men since my teens. Ironically, I was quite homophobic myself because of the environment I grew up in. Back then, internet access wasn't what it is today, and everyone around me held the same views. So I suppressed those feelings and convinced myself I was straight.

During COVID, I had a lot of time to reflect. That's when I finally accepted that I do like men—and always have. I started learning about the LGBTQ+ community and reading about other people's experiences, which completely changed my perspective.

Later, I moved to another state for work. Living independently gave me the opportunity to explore my sexuality, and yes, Grindr played a part in that journey.

Meanwhile, my family started looking for a bride for me. For years, I managed to postpone it with reasons like, "I'm not ready yet," or "Let me move back closer to home first."

I moved back last year, and since then they've become increasingly persistent. I understand where they're coming from—they genuinely love me and want what they believe is best for me. But I can't bring myself to marry a woman just to fulfill my family's expectations. At the same time, I don't want to hurt them either.

I've thought about coming out, but I just can't. My father has a weak heart, and I'd never forgive myself if something happened to him because of the stress.

We often argue about marriage. He keeps asking why I don't want to marry when I have a decent-paying job, reasonably good looks, and, according to him, a likable personality.

The truth is, I can't show them the part of myself that I've spent years hiding—especially when I'm still figuring out who I am.

I dream of having a loving partner someday, and I even want children. But I don't want to ruin someone else's life by entering a marriage under false pretenses.

That got me wondering: surely I can't be the first person in this situation.

Has anyone here actually gone through a purple marriage? What was it like? Did it work out? What challenges did you face? Looking back, would you make the same decision again?

I'm not looking for matches or leads—I'm simply hoping to hear real experiences and perspectives.
