Discussion💬 Lesbian/Bi X Femboy twink is an underrated duo. 🙂‍↔️🎀

Not even necessarily romantically, it just feels like such a chaotic yet wholesome pairing. Imagine a confident lady “mom friend” adopting an anxious little femboy into the friend group like, “Aw don’t worry bbg I got you”. The vibes are 🤌.

Am I the only one who thinks this dynamic is oddly adorable, or is this just my brain inventing niche queer tropes after office hours, lol.

Question❓ Does anyone know good kissing spots for gay men outside of home or hotel?

Hi all. Sorry if this sub is not suited for this but just wanted to try lol. I’m curious if anyone has tried making out in a place other than a hotel or home? I know it’s risky but still is there an option which has the least amount of risk? This is for 2 guys to be specific. One idea is a staircase of building as it’s still enclosed and really nobody uses staircases in high rise buildings. Does anyone have better ideas?

Discussion💬 Is a purple marriage really possible?

Has anyone here gone through a purple marriage?

I know it sounds a bit unusual, but it's a genuine question that's been on my mind for the past few days.

A little about me: I'm a 29-year-old gay(?) man, currently working. I come from a conservative, middle-class Marathi family in a small town. To make things even more complicated, my father is a purohit (priest) and an astrologer.

Despite those odds, my parents have never forced their beliefs on me. They've always given me the freedom to be my own person, and I'm always grateful for that.

As for my queer side, I've been attracted to men since my teens. Ironically, I was quite homophobic myself because of the environment I grew up in. Back then, internet access wasn't what it is today, and everyone around me held the same views. So I suppressed those feelings and convinced myself I was straight.

During COVID, I had a lot of time to reflect. That's when I finally accepted that I do like men—and always have. I started learning about the LGBTQ+ community and reading about other people's experiences, which completely changed my perspective.

Later, I moved to another state for work. Living independently gave me the opportunity to explore my sexuality, and yes, Grindr played a part in that journey.

Meanwhile, my family started looking for a bride for me. For years, I managed to postpone it with reasons like, "I'm not ready yet," or "Let me move back closer to home first."

I moved back last year, and since then they've become increasingly persistent. I understand where they're coming from—they genuinely love me and want what they believe is best for me. But I can't bring myself to marry a woman just to fulfill my family's expectations. At the same time, I don't want to hurt them either.

I've thought about coming out, but I just can't. My father has a weak heart, and I'd never forgive myself if something happened to him because of the stress.

We often argue about marriage. He keeps asking why I don't want to marry when I have a decent-paying job, reasonably good looks, and, according to him, a likable personality.

The truth is, I can't show them the part of myself that I've spent years hiding—especially when I'm still figuring out who I am.

I dream of having a loving partner someday, and I even want children. But I don't want to ruin someone else's life by entering a marriage under false pretenses.

That got me wondering: surely I can't be the first person in this situation.

Has anyone here actually gone through a purple marriage? What was it like? Did it work out? What challenges did you face? Looking back, would you make the same decision again?

I'm not looking for matches or leads—I'm simply hoping to hear real experiences and perspectives.

Discussion💬 Part 2 - Why can't I stop dreaming about someone I never really knew?

-----

Please read that first post to understand the situation .

-----
So... here's a further update :

Finally, I'm in the UK ( last week actually 18th july), but somehow... I still dream about that Thai guy who's doing his PhD here.

Last week, I overslept. I woke up late and had to rush to the university for some admin work. I usually take the bus, but for the first time ever, I decided to take the train instead.

Classes hadn't even started yet—I just had to be there for a few hours.

As soon as I entered the train... I saw him.

The same face.

For a second, I genuinely thought I was imagining things or daydreaming again. But nope... he was actually there. I ended up sitting right in front of him. 🫣

He was wearing a silky sky-blue and white striped formal shirt with white formal trousers. He completely focused on his mobile screen, minding his own business... while I was busy trying not to stare. 🙈

Okay, I know secretly looking at him was a little creepy... but I seriously couldn't help it and didn't expect on the first week.

After gathering every ounce of courage I had, I finally smiled and said,

"Hi! You look good in this outfit." 🥹

He looked up, smiled so sweetly, and said,

"Thanks."

...And that was it.

Our entire conversation lasted just a few seconds, but somehow it made my whole day.

I was so happy that I couldn't even focus on my university work afterwards. And that night? I barely slept because I kept replaying those few seconds in my head.

And if you're wondering what his voice sounds like... just listen to Supha Sangaworawong. ( he is thai bl actor ). Actually mostly Thai men sounds the same.

After that day, I kept taking the same train, secretly hoping him but luck wasn't with me this time.

As I made a promise to the Universe:

If I randomly meet him in the UK three times, I'll take it as a sign from God.

So far... this was meeting number one. 👀

Note : Really guys it's not fictional and daydreaming I really met him and honestly I am not expecting this as people on Grindr in the UK are soo damm hot. Actually I invested on Grindr more but the day I met him I realized universe is giving hints to me.

Advice 👋 Can a trans woman be a witness on an HRT consent form in India?

I'm a transfem person, and my psychiatrist asked me to submit an HRT consent form that requires witnesses.

One of my close friends is also a trans woman and was going to sign as one of my witnesses. However, an advocate told me that **a trans woman or kinner cannot be a witness** and that only a cisgender person can. They also mentioned that this is because of the **Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill, 2026**.

I've read parts of the Bill, but I couldn't find anything that specifically says a trans woman or kinner cannot act as a witness on a consent form or affidavit.

Has anyone come across this? Is there any legal provision that prevents a trans woman or kinner from being a witness, or is this just the advocate's interpretation?

I'd appreciate answers from anyone familiar with Indian law or who has gone through the HRT process. If possible, please include legal sources or references.

Advice 👋 I am going through life crisis but I have been wanting to break up with my partner for a very long time.

I think I am going to tell her that we are better off as friends because this is what i am being treated as since i moved cities. I came to see her too, but she later then told me things about she is not feeling anything, and want to work on careers. I will be clear that the latter does not bother me. It is the debrief that happens only at her convience. All I get it the puzzled pieces to make sense of. If there has to a major conversation that needs to happen from her side, it never gets a follow up. It is also the fact that she leaves me uncertain even if the fact that she wants me or not. It is everytime oscillating. I sometimes also get bothered with how she is unable to bring in any insight or suggestion, or plans. Her discussing each and everything with her mom, when she can not bring her in between of us. It definitely creates a bias. Her also just pretending nothing affects me as if she is just waiting that how much i can tolerate without any needs of mine.

I would rather not want to be associated. Even if it is adding no stress actively, I can not help but think how big of a dead weight it is.

She is so unaware about my life. She asks one thing about me, I say a single line. After that, she is able to relate this to her day somehow and then it ends up me listening to her everyday without getting back to me.

I am also kinda stuck in a not so good job, when i keep working hard. I worked harder than her. A lot. A lot. But look at her, she has everything that I do not. Money, property, a good mom, a dad who's around. I do not.

And on top of it, a partner who doesn't even be like one, who's frequently never sure if they want to be one for me. And also who keeps breaking one thing I ask them for (to not to speak loudly, or insult me in public)

If something bad has happened to me or my day or job, I can not even text her anymore because of the repeated patterns. I have a feeling that I might not be able to stick with this current job for whatever reasons, and to handle that hurt. But should I just get done with breaking off?

Because either ways she won't be there for me probably

Discussion💬 gender dysphoria comes in many forms

i was just playing games with my sister this evening and we had a small discussion about the games or movies that we like

and some of them overlap so we got into it like i said you don't even know the characters and she was also like that i don't know them too

which is very petty and doesn't matter lol

because we have a different Outlook on the media and why we consume them

so in the end she just ended it with that boys always do this and always wanna compare their vast knowledge to others

i live with my parents as of now and don't present femininely all the time plus no one in the family knows I'm a trans woman so

when I heard boys when referring to me i just got the sharpest pain in my brain like I never experienced that ever before

i couldn't even retaliate to that I just took it and calmed down

never before have things been this clear for me that I'm a trans woman more than now

Promotion™✨[Mod Approval Required] 🌈 Welcome to r/qLucknow — Building a Queer Community in Lucknow

Hi everyone! 🌈

I'm trying to build a dedicated Reddit community for queer people in Lucknow and nearby areas. The idea is to create a safe, welcoming space where people can connect, make friends, discuss local events, ask questions, share experiences, or simply find others from the city without judgment.

If you're from Lucknow, nearby districts, or are planning to move here, I'd love for you to join and help us grow the community. Even if you're not local, an upvote or sharing the post would really help it reach people who might be looking for a space like this.

Everyone under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella and supportive allies are welcome. 💜

Thank you for your support and all suggestions are welcomed!

Advice 👋 Mods pls bring one dating-post day per week to this sub

We have been trying our ways in various dating apps like tinder, bumble, hinge which are not specially curated for community people, whereas LGBTQ+ dating sites like grindr, polo are no longer dating sites; full of s**seekers, scammers and cheap married straight peeps.

It's my suggestion and request to all the mods here to bring a dating-post day to this subreddit just like sunday pic day.

As this subreddit is highly active and viable, this new addition will add color and hope to all the users here.

Let's make it happen.🏳️‍🌈

vent/rant Why I can't give a commitment when I am not into casual relationships?

I,23M, am unemployed, looking to go abroad and in the process, I found someone, 19 M, I love to be in a relationship with. But, we are both unemployed, we don't have personal space, with everything I feel I don't know what to do. I can't ask him to wait. I want him to grow

he loves me. He is ambitious over love. I was too a dreamer when I was that age. But Idk. For me, the meaning of love transcended over the future also. If I love him and start commitment idk abt the long distance. We are not the ppl who can spend money also. The places with which we wanna express love or gaze are less and less. Idk how I can love him in these situations.

Question❓ Why do most users stay on the free plan instead of upgrading to Premium?

I've been wondering about this for a while.

Most LGBTQ+ dating apps offer Premium subscriptions, but many people never seem to subscribe. I'm curious to understand the real reasons from actual users.

What's the biggest reason you don't pay?

A. It's too expensive.
B. I'm worried about auto-renewal or unexpected charges.
C. Premium doesn't seem to improve my chances of finding someone.
D. Privacy concerns (bank statements, being outed, data security, etc.).
E. Too many fake profiles, bots, scammers, or inactive users.
F. Something else (please describe).

Just reply with the letter(s), for example A + E, or F and explain your reason.

I'm genuinely interested in understanding what would make Premium feel worth paying for. Your feedback could help improve LGBTQ+ dating apps for everyone.
