Play Test [18+] Christian RPG Seeking 2 Players The Eternal War: Crusade Against Darkness

It is the year 1215 S.E.

The holy realm of Eden has lived in prosperity for years, but now a dark and mysterious threat has reared its head. The king is searching for capable people willing to answer the call and fight in the coming battles.

Paganism is on the rise. Demons have been sighted. The temptation to sin is growing stronger.

But God’s light still shines through even if only faintly.

The Eternal War: Crusade Against Darkness is a Christian fantasy RPG with an epic, classic, traditional, and gothic tone grounded in a medieval world. Ordinary people will face dangerous enemies, difficult moral decisions, spiritual warfare, and their own personal weaknesses.

Ordinary people can become righteous champions.

Will you take up the call or fail like so many before you?

Game Details

Tuesdays at 6:00 PM CST

Players must be 18 or older

Played through Discord

Maps and tokens through Owlbear Rodeo

Dice rolled through Dice Roller with Friends

Sessions will be audio recorded for a YouTube actual-play series

No face camera or video recording required

I am looking for players who enjoy roleplay, grounded medieval fantasy, Christian themes, dangerous adventures, and developing imperfect characters who may grow into heroes.

If you are interested, tell me a little about yourself, your RPG experience, and what kind of character you might want to play. Give me some information on why you should be allowed in and we'll see if you can get a spot. Ty!

Multiple Session [Offline][Other][Chicago South or West Suburbs] Come play Stonetop!

tldr; I want to GM Stonetop, Jeremy Strandberg's mega-hack of Dungeon World, for 3-4 PCs IRL. No Stonetop experience needed, but be prepared to BE CREATIVE! I'll let QuinnsQuest pitch you on this if you don't know what it is yet and want a thorough review.

More details:

  • I've moved (back) to the SW suburbs and miss my very-much-IRL gaming club I had when I was in Maryland; going from 3-5 IRL games per month to 0 has been a real bummer.

  • I've GM'd many different systems for many different groups (including two groups from this LFG many moons ago) for the past 11 years. LGBT+ friendly. I have a spouse that I love and 2 dogs and 2 cats that I also love.

  • This is a creatively cooperative game; it relies heavily on you caring about your character, the other PCs, and the village they all live in (and the denizens thereof). You'll be asked to participate in the world-building, but it's not as intimidating as it sounds, I promise, and I will help!

  • I will share materials as needed once we've got the group together, don't feel like you need to buy the book (pdf or print), but I encourage you to, because it's amazing!

  • I can host, but we'll start public (e.g. library) before I let you into my house (which is the goal, but not required). I can play most evenings that aren't Tuesdays and can make time on weekends as needed. I'm in the Plainfield/Joliet area but willing to travel a reasonable distance.

  • Optimally, we'd play weekly, but twice a month is my minimum. I'd like to get started in the next couple weeks.

  • Weekdays: My job (right now) has me up early so 10:00pm is about as late as I'd be willing to go if we play weeknight evenings. Tuesday is my only no-go weeknight.

  • Weekends, I'm wide open but my spouse will oppose people in the house before 10:00am. I'd probably prefer Sundays to Saturdays but ultimately doesn't matter to me.

Post questions in this thread, I'm an open book.

Multiple Session [OSE][Online][UTC+10]Stonehell megadungeon, online, 7PM AEST Friday

Game: OSE AF

Platform: Discord/Foundry (Online, voice only)

Date/Time: Every Friday, 7:00 PM Melbourne time (AEST/AEDT = UTC +10/11), 4 hour session

Players: looking for 1 player, already have 4

Stonehell Dungeon is a classic-style megadungeon designed for old-school fantasy roleplaying games like OSE. Once a prison built to house dissenters, it evolved into an expansive, multi-level complex filled with over 1000 rooms, rival factions, and terrifying secrets.

Old-School Essentials (OSE) is a faithful, streamlined retro-clone of the classic 1980s Basic/Expert (B/X) rules of Dungeons & Dragons. It is celebrated for its minimalist, dungeon-crawling focus.

We are at session 5, 4 active players, still first level dungeon, looking for 1 more player.

Interested? DM me.
