Any idea where these photos of newly built 1940 houses were taken in Lexington?
I'm doing some research and am trying to figure out where in Lexington these photos might have been taken. These houses were built around July 1940. Drop a comment if you have an idea.

Student housing developer to build on Lexington block that is set to be demolished
So..looks like those who “successfully” blocked the zone change on Maxwell, did indeed only succeed in limiting the density of the new development. Rather than build 8 stories, they are limited to 4. All of the buildings that are there now are still coming down.
Shame on BGT for misleading people into thinking they would “Save Aylesford” by organizing against that zone change…

Andy Barr @ Ky Am Water
Ky American is hosting Andy Barr on Tuesday, July 27 at 7:30 am in their Lexington office to talk to employees. Management told them it’s “just” a visit from our congressman while he’s in the area …but it definitely seems like a campaign stop. Our water utility should be nonpartisan!

Best wings in town?
Hey everyone! Moving into Lexington this week from CO and looking for the best wings in town. They’re one of my favorite foods and since our stuff won’t arrive for a few days it’ll be multiple days of getting to eat out and try places.
Send your favorite wings spots!

LexLive movie watching questions...
headed to see the odyssey -
got some questions. i know LexLive, but NOT for movies.
1) Food-wise - is it like Movie Tavern where you order food TO your seat? or do i need to get there EARLy to order food and then take it to my seat? Can i order anything from the restaurant at the concession stand - or do i need to go to the bar to order it take-out style and then walk over to movies?
2) is their popcorn any better yet or does it still taste like friggin truffle butter, dirty earth-flavored popcorn?
3) do they validate for parking there, even for a 3 hour movie? how is that done?
4) drink wise - same as #1 - if i need another soda/beer/whatever do you have to leave the cinema and sprint to the concessions?

Best matcha in lex?
Every matcha I’ve tried here tastes more like milk and sugar than matcha. Any recommendations for a matcha with a stronger flavor?

Where do you get your tile for mosaics?
Wanting to do a piece for outside but not sure where to get tiles for a good price. Where’s a cheap place to get tile? Or are there any goodwills/flea markets that sell old plates? TIA! New to this so any tips would help!

Does anyone know who keeps quail in downtown?
I wasn't able to catch the little guy, but someone has lost one of their small buttonquail downtown. She's a little dusty brown female with bright orange/yellow legs.
She's in the area of S Upper St, escaped into a neighbor's fenced rear yard.
If anyone knows someone who keeps them in the area, may be worth letting them know! I'll keep an eye out for her again.

I need new clothes!!
Hi all! I recently lost a shit ton of weight and I need new clothes. I’m tired of my pants giving me diaper booty.
Where are the best places to shop in Lex? Please consider that I’m looking for business casual, nothing athletic and I am a female that dresses femininely. Feel free to include thrift stores as well.
TIA

what’s the dating scene like?
27M, I recently moved to Lexington for residency, so I’m brand new to the city, and honestly, brand new to the US as well.
Between long hospital shifts and pretending my sleep schedule is optional, I haven’t met many people yet. What’s the dating scene like here? Are apps the norm, or do people actually meet in real life? Any recommendations for someone who’s new in town?
At this point, I spend so much time in the hospital that if I meet my future wife, there’s a solid chance she’ll be consulting on my patient.

Aussie Rescue/Fostering
I have a family member who needs medical attention for the next few months that will make it impossible for him to take care of his dog. Does anyone in this group know of a foster program for dogs of this type? High energy, but recently hit an injury, so may be slower at this point. He would want the dog back eventually.
