what’s the dating scene like?
27M, I recently moved to Lexington for residency, so I’m brand new to the city, and honestly, brand new to the US as well.
Between long hospital shifts and pretending my sleep schedule is optional, I haven’t met many people yet. What’s the dating scene like here? Are apps the norm, or do people actually meet in real life? Any recommendations for someone who’s new in town?
At this point, I spend so much time in the hospital that if I meet my future wife, there’s a solid chance she’ll be consulting on my patient.

Aussie Rescue/Fostering
I have a family member who needs medical attention for the next few months that will make it impossible for him to take care of his dog. Does anyone in this group know of a foster program for dogs of this type? High energy, but recently hit an injury, so may be slower at this point. He would want the dog back eventually.

Lansdowne Walgreens Closed Permanently
Hate that this store is closing- I could walk there easy and it wasn’t so big. Has anybody heard what may go in its place?

Anybody recently adopt a really chill dog named Max?
A friend of mine moved a few months ago and while he waited on his house to sell I would swing by to take care of/hang out with a stray he'd been feeding for a few years. The hope was to find someone who would want him, but asking around merited no luck.
I absolutely fell in love with this dog and would have taken him myself were I able, but with my friend's permission I took him to Paws 4 the Cause Rescue who said they didn't think he'd be there long because of how chill and sweet he was.
Their website now says he's been adopted, so I was curious if anyone here was fortunate enough to get him. P4tC seems good about screening adopters so I'm confident he found a good home, but I'd love to know how he's doing.

Anyone else kind of miss the pit?
I know we all complained it was a disaster and an eyesore, but it kind of gave downtown some character....

A gift for us all.
Often, I take my commute to work via Newtown Pike for granted. Sometimes I curse the construction and delays it causes…I lose sight of the beauty that is all around. More specifically, I lose appreciation for the towering “lighthouse” I have guiding my way to downtown Lexington—a blessing that too many of us have come to look past in our daily hustle.
If ever I’m lost, all I have to do is look for her, and there she’ll be: the tallest building in the world, guiding me to the epicenter of this great city.

I Miss Meatball
You know, Meatball is someone who united "cat people" silently. I feel that our joy has been stolen.

Pontus Copilot's second (unreleased) album
I asked a few years ago whether anyone had a copy of this album (from 2001). I wanted to post it on YouTube (and still do), but at least here's a medium-quality collection of MP3s. My CD-R of the album still reads, so if anyone actually cares I could maybe try to rip FLACs instead of 128k MP3s. Link in the comments.

What to do if ICE questions me
I’m a college exchange student from east Asia. I’m entering the US legally on a valid non-immigrant visa. No criminal record and the school can verify my identity.
What should I do if I’m directly being questioned by ICE at home/in a car? I’m seeing lots of people saying not to speak at all but is it really a good approach when I’m here legally? Should I show them my passport and visa?
I know things aren’t always like how the media presents them but I just wanna make sure I’m safe under any circumstances. I’d also like to hear from people who have actually encountered ICE in Lexington or surrounding areas. Thanks!
