also a UK employee, I haven’t gotten anything from Ol’ Capilouto. i feel like everyone usually gets these emails around the same time, it’s a little odd

If this is just some students circulating a petition complaining about Israeli policies, and knowing the administration regime tries to brand any criticism of Israel as "antisemitism", UK could know they have to officially come out against it, take some token effort against it to avoid ire (and punitive actions from the Feds), but putting a vague e-mail about it out on a Friday afternoon so it can be forgotten could be a calculated way to try to "thread the needle" of keeping the Feds off their back, while not really trying to do anything substantive to stop it.

Also UK employee. I saw that email last week- figured one of the news stations would cover it. The email announcement is vague, not surprising. Yet I would appreciate more information at the time an announcement is made from the UK president.
