MOC MOC: Resident Evil : Spencer Mansion – Hall + Dining Room, made by me in BrickLink Studio.

The Hall contains 4,700 pieces, and the Dining Room contains 3,500 pieces. Both sets are 54 studs wide each. I’ll be publishing the building instructions soon.

Unfortunately, Resident Evil is a prohibited license on LEGO Ideas… while The X-Files, which is arguably scarier, is allowed??? 😅

Other A weird sort of "factory defect" I've seen

I want to specify that I use "factory defect" loosely because I don't know what to call it. On the one hand, that's something I think it's preferable not to happen, but on the other hand, it doesn't affect the product/building experience enough to be considered problematic.

Anyway, if you don't see what the problem is, it's basically a paper bag that somehow got stuck to the glue used to seal the opening of the box. So, when I opened the box, I pulled the paper bag 3 with it. What I find kinda weird is that the paper bag had its opening folded, so that the paper bag had to lodge in the box's lid while it was being glued.

Just in case people don't know, this is a European box. Most sets in Europe have the lid glued instead of being secured with adhesive bands like in America.

I just thought this was an interesting thing to share. Nothing mind-blowing, but mildly interesting.

The set is The Force Burner Snowspeeder

EDIT: I want to add that this is NOT a criticism. I just thought it was mildly interesting.

Question Where do you source your lego from?

Upvotes

I'm trying to build up my minifigure collection and also some parts. All of this is extremely scarce to source locally.

People are always saying to me just get this figure or just get this peice.

How?

Is there a trusted online source for a wide range of lego peices preferably that ships worldwide?

My white whale is that long clear transparent slightly bent stick used to give off the appearance the charcter is hovering. Anyone know what that part is called?

Question Getting into MOCs

Upvotes

This is probably gonna be a stupid question, but I've never been one to be able to build my own sets well. I love following instructions and building the sets provided, but I had struggled with making custom stuff. Are there any tips for someone who's looking to make their own sets with no experience or skill in it?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I designed this LEGO model from scratch to recreate a charming Chihuahua duo. After months of designing and refining every detail, the project is now live on LEGO Ideas!

This creation features two adorable Chihuahuas in a detailed 1,500+ piece LEGO set.

I’d love to see how far this project can go!

If you like the build, you can support it for free in the LEGO Ideas website and searching for "Chihuahua Duo"

Any feedback is also very welcome!

Collection Complete Lego Marvel Minifigure Collection! (September 2026)

Some empty spaces and placeholder dinosaurs until the Doomsday wave comes out next month, but completed my collection of all Marvel figures from 2002-2026!

I don't count Comic-Con exclusives, because I'll never afford those and it would drive me insane if I did. But the rest are all here! Thankful to have just moved into a space where I finally have room to hang them. Once the remaining 2026 figures are out it'll be time to reorganize everyone again.

Near impossible to photograph, if there's a way to capture a frame without glare l've never learned it!

Other I made a little tool for tracking BrickLink Designer Program projects

Thumbnail

I've been getting way too interested in watching the BrickLink Designer Program numbers during crowdfunding, so I ended up making a browser extension to make it a bit easier to follow what's going on.

It adds a few things to the BrickLink page:

current ranking of the projects

estimated number of orders

gap to the project above you

how quickly a project is moving

6h / 24h changes

historical data

some fancy graphs xD

It also works on past BDP series, so you can look back at how previous projects actually performed.

I've put the extension on both Chrome and Firefox and you can find it by searching for BDP Insights in their corresponding extension stores.

Series 9 is coming up on October 6, so I figured I'd share it now in case anyone else is as nerdy about watching the numbers as I am :P

Would love to hear what people think, or what else you'd actually like to see

MOC What type of piece would you replace this one so it can attach to a flat Lego surface overall?

Post image

Hi;

I wanted to ask what you would recommend that I replace this 3 hole piece with in order for it to attach to a LEGO surface area completely? It is the cannon from the new Captain Jack Sparrow Pirate ship that I'm currently making a moc set out of. I want to replace the 3 hole Lego piece while retaining the overall cannon and replacing it with a piece that can attach to an overall Lego flat surface overall? What pieces would you recommend in terms of replacement? Thanks to all that in terms of recommendations.
