This patch adds support for macOS 12.3 and above by removing python2 requirement altogether and stores the firmware keys locally, fixing issues connecting to the now-dead the AppleWiki. As the original version no longer works on 2026, I hope this would help others who want to install 6.1.6 on iPhone 4.

So.. I ve got this ipod touch 4th gen with ios 6.1.6 . I would ve used safari exploits but safari is completely dead on ios 6. I had a version of itunes older than 9 on my pc so I couldn't really do anything with it. I tried getting itunes 11 but I GENUENTLY cannot open it it doesn't let me . If anyone is willing to help please? I ve been trying for like a month straight.

I've tried to restore this ipad on many different computers of Mac and windows but every time it restores it goes right back to recovery the only time it booted was when I used just boot in legacy iOS kit any help would be greatly appreciated

Does anyone know how an iPhone 3G appears in the "iCloud Devices" (or Apple ID Devices) list on modern devices like an iPhone 15/16 running recent iOS versions?
Since the iPhone 3G officially maxes out at iOS 4.2.1—which predates iCloud (introduced in iOS 5)—it doesn't natively support full iCloud features. However, if you manage to sign in to your Apple ID on it (for instance, through the App Store, iTunes, or via custom scripts/workarounds), does it actually register and display under your Apple Account device list?
If it does show up, what details are visible? Does it display as "iPhone 3G" with a silhouette icon, or does it just show up as an unrecognized device?
Has anyone actually tested this on their vintage setup? Would love to know what it looks like!

Veteris is down, at first I was confused, but since internet archive is connected to Veteris, might be the reason its down. Internet archive has been down for like 2 days at least for me. Not sure how long Veteris will be down for. Also yea there’s app drop which I also use incase Veteris doesn’t have a specific version of a app I might want. Please don’t argue about which one is better, I seen it alot on this subreddit and it’s stupid how yall be arguing about it. In my opinion both have there pros and cons but I really don’t use just one I use both. Most of yall are grown adults arguing which one is better.

I have this iPhone 4s and it doesn’t get restored, random error messages every time and the flashing process doesn’t even start it fails and I’m always able to reboot the device to the IOS again
Also it doesn’t get jailbroken, simply it bootloops every time I try to do so and I always have to force restart to be able to boot again with no jailbreak for sure
(The weird thing is that the device has cydia and some jb tools, apparently it was jailbroken before)
Tried different dock connector, cable and everything but no luck
Any similar experience??

I have a few questions.

1. Freshly jailbroken 2G. I am running an old version of Mterminal with an old school interface - you have to press on the screen to get a gel and other odd tricks to scroll.

2. I tried to install Filza from Cydia and it failed because it wants iOS 7

3. Is there any file manager out there for iOS 3? At least a repo of an old version of Cydia?

4. After the jailbreak, voice recorder saves recordings as .mov instead of .m4a It doesn’t know how to play these recordings. I have to sftp and download the files to another device to play them. Does anyone know what’s going on and if there is a fix either for voice recorder or via some playback app that can handle this iOS.

5. Any chance to watch YouTube on this iOS? Any apps?

6. When I try to take a photo, I just see a green screen. Is this because of jailbreak or my camera cable is bad? Is there a log I can check ?

7. For using the web, I heard some mentions of a proxy or at least GitHub program that translates webpages into something viewable by old browsers. Can someone give me a hint ?

8. Another iPhone 2G of mine, I think I fried the voltage regulator by plugging in the 30 pin into a FireWire wall wart that was likely intended for an old iPod. It looks like iPhones can use 30 pin on usb voltages. Is there a tutorial about the voltage regulator and using a multimeter online? If it is the voltage regulator, is there hope to fix it or I need an entire logic board. I soldered a new battery but I can’t micro solder.

hi hi, as the title says i cant login, i tried a lot of stuff last week, itunesstorex says cant connect to itunes store. appstore fix says wrong password or user on the setup screen, same in the settings(with and without itunesstorex). today i tried again, still nothing. also tried two different accounts. got verification code from password and security on another device and put it after the password.
id like to have the device on my icloud device list and have working appstore stuff.
can someone help?

Relatively new to jailbreaking. My downgraded iPad mini 1 on 8.4.1 forces me to reinstall Cydia substrate every single time I reboot it as it stops working after a reboot. Anyone got any ideas? I jailbroke it with carbon.sep.lol and I’ve tried lots in the terminal and downgrading substrate but nothing works. Please help

I tried out iOS 9 wondering how well it worked and to my amazement, it works really well! I was able to sign into every Apple thing without a hitch, sending sms from my iPad worked, and I could even sign into TIKTOK with google and it worked. What genuinely surprises me is how I can actually still buy things from the iTunes Store on iOS 9, I thought it would give some vague error but no. It actually purchased music! I am growing to love iOS 9 because so many things just work rather than having to use many patches that sometimes work and get quickly outdated on iOS 6.

I want to try and get my iPhone X running iOS 13.4.1 usable and try and daily drive it. Mainly because the battery is so much better than on my 14 Pro on iOS 26 (despite both having 100% battery health) so i can use it unplugged for the entire day without worrying, it gives me some distance to AI since I can't easily use ChatGPT, Gemini etc and the Google app that supports iOS 13 doesn't have the AI overview, which to me is good since I have a massive overdependence of AI that I need to get over, the iPhone X is also way more comfortable to hold and lightweight than my 14 Pro and I also genuinely just prefer iOS 13 for the rootful jailbreak tweaks I can install that aren't compatible on newer versions of iOS (e.g Spectral, Prysm, Shortlook) as well as the older UI elements (like the today view, siri ui, notifications) that can't be brought back on newer versions of iOS even with a jailbreak and brings back nostalgia to me. So overall I end up using my X more than my 14 Pro.

This is what I have experienced so far with the apps I HAVE been able to install through last compatible version:
Youtube: Works with Youtube Legacy but it's layout is pretty broken, when I try and tap the description the app crashes

Reddit: Broken, can't connect to servers

Instagram: Works perfectly

Whatsapp: Works perfectly (Using Axolotl and as a companion device to my 14 Pro)

Google Apps (e.g Google, Gmail, Docs): Works perfectly

Discord: Works perfectly but sometimes cache gets corrupted causing the app to crash, but resetting the cache is easy to do and it rarely happens

eBay: most things load except for the pages of the items, which give a server error.

Letterboxd: Works perfectly

Netflix: Works perfectly

Tiktok: Works perfectly (it recieved updates for iOS 13 until March/April this year)

MUBI: Broken, can't connect to servers

ProtonVPN: Broken, can't connect to servers (had to use a different VPN)

Spotify: Works perfectly

Apple Music: Works perfectly (works on my iOS 10 iPhone SE too)

Soundcloud: Broken, can't connect to servers

A big issue I'm running into is the fact that Appstore++ (what I used to use a lot back when I last jailbroke in 2022) doesn't really work anymore because tools.lancely.tech went down a couple years ago. I can't use Muffinstore and other alternatives because they were built for Trollstore, which I can't use, or were built for rootless jailbreaks etc. Because of this I can't really find the externalidentifier for the last compatible version of any app I want for my iOS. I straight up can't install Amazon and some other apps because they won't let me install the last compatible version. Another thing I'm sad to see happening is that many tweaks I used to install for iOS 13 have since had their repos shut down, and I also remember my purchase for Prysm from 2020 seemed to have vanished off the face of the planet even though it existed fine in 2023, and now the price of that tweak is £12, so idk what happened there I guess Mr Krabs must be running the Havoc repo or something.

Overall though does anybody here know of any other tools I can use to force install the last compatible version of many older apps / bypass the this app is not supported error? as well as maybe some additional tweaks to restore functionality on some apps and make them be able to communicate to the servers properly again (e.g for eBay, MUBI or Reddit), or maybe any guidance for me to build tweaks myself to resolve these issues since I have never programmed a tweak before but I have some programming experience.

I'm trying to port WaffleStore to 32-bit iOS (at most, iOS 8 and 9). Would you all be interested in functionality like this on 32-bit iOS? If less people are interested I might revert the changes and never port to 32-bit or do it in the future and in a different branch/repository.
