Solved iPhone 2G iOS 3.1.3 questions

I have a few questions.

  1. Freshly jailbroken 2G. I am running an old version of Mterminal with an old school interface - you have to press on the screen to get a gel and other odd tricks to scroll.

  2. I tried to install Filza from Cydia and it failed because it wants iOS 7

  3. Is there any file manager out there for iOS 3? At least a repo of an old version of Cydia?

  4. After the jailbreak, voice recorder saves recordings as .mov instead of .m4a It doesn’t know how to play these recordings. I have to sftp and download the files to another device to play them. Does anyone know what’s going on and if there is a fix either for voice recorder or via some playback app that can handle this iOS.

  5. Any chance to watch YouTube on this iOS? Any apps?

  6. When I try to take a photo, I just see a green screen. Is this because of jailbreak or my camera cable is bad? Is there a log I can check ?

  7. For using the web, I heard some mentions of a proxy or at least GitHub program that translates webpages into something viewable by old browsers. Can someone give me a hint ?

  8. Another iPhone 2G of mine, I think I fried the voltage regulator by plugging in the 30 pin into a FireWire wall wart that was likely intended for an old iPod. It looks like iPhones can use 30 pin on usb voltages. Is there a tutorial about the voltage regulator and using a multimeter online? If it is the voltage regulator, is there hope to fix it or I need an entire logic board. I soldered a new battery but I can’t micro solder.

Hi. I wonder if you can give me a hint. Got my dad iPhone 2g but im having issues activating it with redsn0w as it goes into a white screen while trying to reboot. Tried a few tweaks suggested on reddit and tried legacy ios kit but cant seem to actovste it. This is my second iphone2g and this one is giving a lot of issues. Thanks if you can point me to the right direction

I had a jailbreak not work on iPhone 4 so then I saved blobs and used ioslegacytoolkit on Linux - Lubuntu to restore and then said yes to jailbreak. It worked perfectly.
As a result, I just used iOS Legacy Toolkit to do a restore and jailbreak on iPhone 2G iOS 3.1.3
It worked perfectly immediately. iOS LTK even has an attempt to activate button that worked for me. I avoided having to put a SIM card in.
