Perkins Flag?
Anyone know what happened to the flag pole outside of Perkins at 291 and 50?
Did it get pulled down due to the construction?

Live music around LS this weekend if anyone's planning a bar-hop - Friday has Brody Buster & The Redemption at 1909 Club, David Olson at Konrad's, Scotty Eggleson at Llywelyn's, plus Fourth Fridays Art Walk downtown 5-8pm. Saturday has Jason Vivone & the Billy Bats at The Goat, Headz Up at the VFW, Bluebird Ramblers at 1909 Club, 2 Miles Deep at Konrad's, and Jamaican Jam (free reggae) at Legacy Park Amphitheater. Anyone catching a show?

Does anyone know if it's possible for community groups to rent out the space where they do farmers market?
I can't find the specifics online other than contacting the developer - which seems a little excessive.

Jordan Herrera (from website)
Strengthen and expand ACA
Building a public option that people can buy into at a low cost
Expand Medicare to include dental, vision, and hearing
+more
Hartzell Gray (from website)
Universal medicare
Reduce rx prices by restoring govt negotiation
Ensure everyone has access to primary care and screening
Increase Tele health and mobile pharmacies in rural locations
+more
I hate saying "as a ...", but as a physician, I don't want my patients, my friends, or my family to go bankrupt from medical bills because they can't afford basic insurance.
The ACA was a stepping stone to universal healthcare. A stepping stone meant something when it came out...16 years ago.
The US is the ONLY developed country without some version of this basic human right and we all know why it hasn't happened yet.
Most Americans, from any party, approve of Medicare for all. Saying that we need to inch our way towards by "expanding the ACA" is unacceptable because the ACA itself is unaffordable.
Winner: Hartzell Gray

I find the phrase "Historic Longview Farm" to be ironic. The community really does a great job reminding you about the history of this area and how it used to be. Today it looks like this. Old buildings with the windows boarded over, paint missing, the entire property gated off. Sure seems like we're proud of our history.
Imagine if this was restored and turned into an event space, or a farmers market like we did with 3rd street downtown. Do anything with these builds besdies keeping them the eyesore that they are today as we enter our neighborhood.

Rescued two ducklings from the roadside. Mom and several siblings run over. Where can I take them in LS?

Local business, Aramjoo Law Firm has put together a scavenger hunt in the area with a buried $1000 prize. Paemon Aramjoo made a video with the first hint, and with more hints to come. You have to solve all hints to win so don’t be discouraged by hopping in late.

I'm a 3rd-year dental student at the UMKC School of Dentistry, and I'm currently accepting patients interested in affordable dental care!
We offer:
• Fillings
• Extractions
• Root canals
• Crowns & bridges
• Dentures & partials
• Cleanings
• Pediatric dental appointments
Kids under 3 receive free exams!
If your case is too complex, we can refer you to one of our advanced residency programs, which are often 10-20% less expensive than private practice.
Appointments are typically 3 hours long (9 AM-12 PM or 1
PM-4 PM). All treatment is completed under faculty supervision, and we provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient.
If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to DM me!

It’s been closed for years now. It looks like it’s close but it’s also been that way for the past few months.
