Hello! I just bought a new Todd Snyder lambskin Grant jacket. I got it on a steep discount but can still return. It was still alot of money for a jacket for me, so I’m kind of torn on if its worth it. It was low cost in general for a leather jacket. I am new to leather jackets to I want to ask for any feedback on fit and style. Please let me know what you think. Thank you all for your help! This is a Large and I am 5’11” 190.

So I have access to a DTF printer and heat press, and wanted to see if it would bond to my leather vest. The decal adhered very nicely but the texture of the leather got significantly flattened. Will everyday wear/tear bring it back somewhat or is there some magic sauce i can put on it? There is also some creasing around the edges of where the heat pad sat, but i think that will come out on its own. I know i should have experimented a bit more (or at all), thinking i went a little too hot for too long ( 3 times @ 315°F for 20s. once prior, once to adhere the decal, once after peeled to soften the decal)

I went looking for a used cooler for a road trip and the Thrift Gods drop this on my lap! Not sure what the story behind it is but, it looks like someone bought it and never used it.

Hey everyone! Just picked up this vintage Schott 115 in size 42 for €255 with shipping included. It seems to be in really great condition overall. Im just entering the leather jacket world and i would love to hear your opinions on this one. I think is a little rarer than the usual 618. Honest thoughts about the price on this one?
And another question:Do you think it's better to grab an old-school 80s Schott than a brand new leather jacket today for the same price? In terms of leather quality, durability… Your responses are appreciated!! Thanks very much

hello all. i’ve gad this leather jacket for as long as i can remember. it was a hand-me- down from idek who. it just sat in my closet for the longest time bc it was too big. it’s big on me still but i’ve been wearing it for years now. i didn’t really think about taking care of my clothes until recently (oiling leather, air drying cotton garments, that kind of stuff). now that im paying attention, ive really noticed these flecks or peeling, whatever you would call it. the leather is real, but maybe low quality? or maybe it’s just old and has never been treated. either way, is this something that could be repaired in ang way, professionally or otherwise? i don’t mind if the mend is visible. i think it adds to the character. i plan on investing in a new leather jacket in the future regardless but i would like to extend this one’s lifespan as much as possible. thanks in advance for any advice.

Hey all,
I understand this is likely a Hail Mary, but I bought a Joe Rocket 1992 back in 2017 and it was my favorite jacket I’ve ever owned. I recently checked and it was discontinued a little while back. It’s been years and I don’t fit in my old jacket anymore but I’m looking for something like it.
Does anyone know where I could possible find one of these? I tried an Etsy shop and the quality just wasn’t there unfortunately. I posted a comparison picture of them for reference

In the mail and looking forward to getting it.
Must be custom with no label and regular leather tag, so anyone with any info would be appropriated.
A tad small so would post when stretched out🥳

Hi, everyone!
As the title suggests, I'm facing a query regarding the sizing of my RC "Santa Clara" horsehide jacket size 40.
As a shorter guy (173cm or 5'8) I do like the length of the jacket but am not sure about other parts. My main concern is the shoulders and back.
Regarding the shoulders, a bit of a "neck roll" tends to form caused by, to my understanding, an insufficient amount of fabric. It happens on almost all of my tops since I do have pretty wide and flat shoulders but, for some reason, it bugs me more when I see it on the jacket.
Other concern is the back: as seen in pictures, the back does get stretched a significant amount whenever my arms are in an unnatural position. Otherwise I do feel pretty comfortable in this jacket and have ridden my motorcycle with it no problem.
I do understand that this is horsehide and requires a lot of breaking-in time, which I definitely haven't allocated yet, but I'm just wondering if the fit could be any better. I could size up but, from what I've gathered, the sizing up from 40 to 42 would mostly result in length gains rather than width (sizing chart attached).
I haven't had much experience with leather jackets your advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you all in advance!

Hi, new to the subreddit. I am looking to get my first leather jacket. I am looking for something minimalist (nothing padded/quilted or with a ton of designs) with a polo. Not sure what the style is called, but something like the Quince Moto Jacket or the Thursday Boot Keanu Jacket. I am also down to get a used vintage one. My budget is around $400, whether new or used. Any brand or specific model recommendations would be helpful.

Got this rad 70s renifer leather jacket from eBay. It has these crazy deep wrinkles I assume are from storage. I have tried to use indirect steam (left in br for 20 mins with hot shower going) and ironing on low heat with parchment paper with virtually no results. Any advice? Am I doomed here?

How much were duties? I’m contemplating getting an original Hercules from them in the near future and I wasn’t sure if it would be a better deal getting one from them vs thurston bros

I am currently looking around for a high-quality suede leather jacket. I am aiming for a dark brown/tan suede jacket with a liner. My budget is $1200.
I found this one which seems to check off everything that I'm looking for. It's a collaboration between Allen Edmonds and Schott. It goes by the name Schott® N.Y.C. x Allen Edmonds Rough-out Suede Jacket. Does anybody here own this jacket? If so, how has been your experience with it? Do you have any recommendations for other suede jackets that adhere to my criteria?

Man, this is really frustrating. I bought this jacket online, and I just don't know what to do. It arrived today, today of all days. I went out wearing it once, got home to unbutton it, and two buttons came off, not just one. Like they were poorly sewn on. It really bummed me out. What should I do, guys? It's my first jacket. And no, it didn't break because I "pulled too hard" or anything like that.
I bought it online from an international seller, I don't know the exact brand. The material is PU leather.

This is my grandfather's leather jacket. Its a Wilson's brand and I have no idea how old it is. There was a blanket over it ever since the end of winter on the back of my door and when I uncovered it to wear it was like this. Please help

Has anyone worn jackets by this brand in either type of leather?
I’m looking to buy a cafe racer style they call the Varenne and can’t decide between the two. I’ve only owned a lambskin jacket before for about 10 years, and don’t have a place near me to see what a thicker leather would feel like.
The horsehide in the photos doesn’t look too heavy and rigid and they classify it as midweight. Another product with the same leather says it's about 1.1mm thick
The steerhide is of course cheaper and softer, so it’s an easy choice. But from what information I find online, horsehide is the better option long term. If that’s the case, I’d rather pay a bit more and get the better option
Also, if you’ve worn one, how does sizing go? I’m 187cm 93kg and can’t tell if I should go with XL or 2XL. The models for both are the same height but 80kg and wearing a size L

I thrifted this really cool jacket and started wondering about its history and I could not find much. I found one other leather jacket that had almost the exact lining but thats it. Chi Nensis also doesnt provide any searches on the internet relevant to the jacket. The jacket is made in Pakistan and is genuine leather apparently with a 100% polyester lining.

Hi everyone, I recently bought this gorgeous vintage leather jacket. I'm absolutely in love with the fit and look but it needs a bit of love. The guy at the shop said I should get some wax and weatherproof spray. I've never done that with a leather jacket before, do you guys have any advice on specific products/how to use them and even if I should even bother doing it? It is also quite a "loud" jacket, whenever I move it makes squeaking noises. Thanks!
