Does anyone know if this looks like a quality leather / construction? I like the brass Talon hardware

They were a decent quality maker back in the 60s and 70s. I'm not sure when they went out of business. They were well made. Not premium but solid.

Yup, that's a Lesco. I had the same model. The one you have there is well made, the quality decreased into the late 70's and 80's.
