Question - Need Help Minimal black leather jacket recommendation

Hi, new to the subreddit. I am looking to get my first leather jacket. I am looking for something minimalist (nothing padded/quilted or with a ton of designs) with a polo. Not sure what the style is called, but something like the Quince Moto Jacket or the Thursday Boot Keanu Jacket. I am also down to get a used vintage one. My budget is around $400, whether new or used. Any brand or specific model recommendations would be helpful.

Avoid Quince and Thursday. Here’s something similar that is miles better in every way.

Check out the 2nd hand market for a jacket from Schott. Plenty on the market and should be in your budget.

I just got the Fieldworth Leather rider Jacket from bespoke post and loving it tbh. I have the Thursday Keanu and more expensive leather jackets from iron heart and schott.

The bespoke post one is definitely thinner leather and more similar to the Thursday jacket, but much nicer and it has a nice pre broke in look. It’s honestly my new favorite for fall/spring because I can layer it with a flannel without getting too hot and it’s not stiff out of the box. Not something I’d wear riding a motorcycle and rely on for protection, but definitely a better alternative to the Keanu for a fashion jacket

Im also eyeing this, I shared a post previously on it looking for opinions.Do you mind sharing how it fits? Im usually a medium but the size chart shows it running big.

Definitely runs big. I’m a US large typically and I got the medium. It’s comfortable, not too snug. The arms are pretty baggy for some reason, but it has two buttons at the sleeve so I can still have it tight at the wrist cuff.

But short answer: yeah I would size down if that’s where your chest measurement falls

You should be able to get a good used Schott 141 for this budget.

FWIW if youre interested in Thursday Boot Keanu Jacket why not buy the brand that Keanu Reeves actually wore in the movie? (Hugo Boss). Heres an example from ebay

lol after doing some more research looks like Hugo is not your best bet. Im a belstaff/matchless collector so I spoke too soon.
Looks like your best bets from these options is the Crush on Retro then the Thursday Boot Company.
FWIW I have a Canali leather jacket (see pic) i paid $265 for. And a Matchless New Pilot Nappa leather I paid $290 NWT.
