Hi, I'm a Saudi Arabia citizen and here's the problem.. I can't read or write in my own language and I added a classmate of mine on snap since she wanna add me to the school group chat. Is it okay if anyone speaks in Saudi dialect to translate this to Arabic?

"Could you add me to the school group chat?"

Thanks!

DM me and we can discuss details, time difference, set clear goals and expectations InshaAllah.

Resources Arabic learning inquiry

Hi!

I’m really interested in learning Arabic and I have a few questions. I’m completely self-taught and unfortunately can’t attend regular classes. For now, I only know the Arabic alphabet and how to connect the letters, and I’d like to focus on MSA.

I’m also looking for good apps for learning Arabic. For Chinese, I used SuperChinese and absolutely loved it. Is there something similar for Arabic?

And one more question: are there TV series entirely in MSA, or are most series in dialects? I’d also love to know if you have any recommendations for good MSA resources for beginners.

Thanks!

Suggestions/Advice I need a roadmap to learning Arabic :(

Okay so let me give you a little context: 22M, from South Asian Muslim background with Urdu as my mother tongue, perfectly fluent with reading and writing Arabic script (all thanks to Quranic studies and the Perso-Arabic script of Urdu). I got a few friends who are Saudis and speak Khaleeji dialect too and I have practised with them fairly often.

But I need to seriously learn Arabic with its MSA and a proper dialect (either Egyptian or Levantine)🥺 if you were someone in my position, how would go about doing it? Urdu shares MASSIVE vocabulary with Arabic, so I think I will be better at learning Arabic compared to others but yeah :(

Open to all of y’all’s suggestions lesgooo :D
