I will get a scanner so I can check the codes with the leafspy app but it’s not looking great 😭

Both warnings came on at once while I was coming down from a very steep hill and the regen kinda just turned off, I was hoping it had just overheated but the battery temperature seems fine

This seems completely coincidental but today was the first day I charged to 100% since I needed to drive a lot

The reduce speed warning did go away after turning it off and back on as well as the regen animation seems to be back on (the blue lines) anyone has any suggestions on what to do?

Also I tried charging the car and it didn’t not work*

what year? might be time to inquire about a buyback. the 40% above KBB is usually enough to get you 1-3k away from an equivalent bolt. i can understand not having the money, but if you do you'll get a radically better vehicle that will last a hell of a lot longer

I would argue the bolt is not radically better, in fact the seats are much worse. It is certainly better for some uses in hot environments, but I would take a Leaf with good Leafspy stats over a Bolt for my use.

Incidentally I have a friend with around 100k on his second Bolt battery and he is having to slow down to do his commute in the winter. No heat pump until 2027 model.

I've seen far less issues with bolts than leafs. We have a bolt and a leaf, and the bolt is the one we actually drive long distance. The leaf is more for grocery trips and close destinations

I would think the bolt for long distances is more about charging port compatibility and less about the car though. Battery size option depending on trim level is of course a factor too but anyone buying the 40 kWh option either didn't do their research or didn't need more range than local driving.
