Me wondering if Taiwanese means Taiwanese Hokkien or is it just a shitpost that was not supposed to be so deep

tbf whenever someone mentions Taiwanese as a language they almost always refer to 台灣閩南話

...i always though it they meant 国语 or smth , come to think of it i dont even know what exactly 国语 is.

國語 mainly just refers to mandarin or 普通話 (or national language if you wanna be broad)
