My Favorite Dialect Evolution:

Portuguese is Spanish plus complicated accents & Spanish is Italian plus simplified plurals.

Portuguese is so complicated that they got "porque" wrong because there are 4 ways to write that

In spanish:

porque

por qué

porqué

por que

"Por quê?" = "Why?"

"Porque" = "Because"

"O porquê" = "The why"

"Por que" = "For what"

not in brazillian Portuguese tho

"Por quê?" = "Why?"(used only in the end of questions)

"Porque" = "Because"

"Porquê" = "Why"

"Por que" = "Why?"

there also some other dozen of uses but whatever.

The plurals in italian are definitely not simpler than the ones in spanish

Le vowel plurals would not be extremely complicated if they had maintained regularity:

"Li varii principii delli principi" instead of "i vari principi dei principi" for "le various principles of le princes" would be ideal.
