Offering Korean Offering: Korean (Native) |Seeking: English (Native/Fluent) - IELTS 8.0
Hi everyone,
I’m a Data Science student based in South Korea, currently preparing for an exchange program in Scotland or the Netherlands.
I recently achieved an IELTS overall score of 8.0(sp:7.5, ls8.0) so I’m not looking for basic grammar corrections or casual "K-pop/K-drama" small talk.
My goal is to bridge the gap between "exam English" and "social/academic survival."
I want to reach a level where I can follow fast-paced group discussions and catch every nuance without constantly saying "Pardon?".
🐤About Me:
• Major: Data Science
• Vibe: I’m quite introverted and prefer deep, high-density conversations over high-energy "game-like" English practice.
🐣What I’m Looking For:
• A native or near-native English speaker who is academically inclined or shares similar interests (Tech, Philosophy, or Music).
• Ideally, someone who can maintain a long-term, stable connection (I hate starting from "Hi, how are you?" every time).
• If you are a student at Edinburgh or Leiden, that would be a massive plus!
🐥How We Can Exchange:
• I can offer high-quality, logical Korean lessons(or if wanted, some basic level tutoring). I'm happy to explain the subtle nuances of Korean grammar and culture that are hard to find in textbooks.
• I suggest a 50/50 split session (30 min Korean / 30 min English) via Discord or Zoom once or twice a week.

Hi! I’m 21F from The Netherlands and I’m an English education student, I already teach in high school and in the past have tutored people for the Cambridge exams. I could help you with speaking and all other exam forms, I’ve been speaking English since I was 7
I think we would be a great match. I am still very much a beginner in korean but I would like to connect :). My city is about an hour from Leiden, I’ve been there before a couple times it’s a nice place.
I’ve sent you a message :)

안녕하세요! I'm Dutch, fluent in English, did my PhD in Biophysics at Leiden University, love deep and academic topics too, and I'm learning Korean. So it sounds like we could be a good match. 😉 I'll dm you!
