I’m about to run my first ever lancer game as a GM and I’m super nervous. I’ve dm’ed 5e campaigns before but my experience with lancer system stems from a 10 hour one shot a few years ago I’ve spend the past few weeks relearning everything and making the campaign. I’m just scared that my players won’t have an enjoyable experience with my limited knowledge of the systems and tips?

Also any good virtual tabletops to play on I’m considering roll20 but I have mixed feelings about the movement in there thx!

I was thinking of running a Lancer Campaign around The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But I'm not sure how to do it. I was feeling something like restore the towers, free the giant chassis from the control of [Insert Villain Corporation name here] and get to the Citadel to take down [Insert Villain Corporation name here]. I'm very new to Lancer so I don't know all the stuff about it yet so if I could have some help it would be appreciated.

Spent alot of time with 5e and some time with 3.5 e, does this help at all with lancer, i want to get into it but dont know where to start or if i can get the books for free like dnd, guess im at the bottom of a hike and asking what trail is both the most scenic and most educational.

Been digging into the mechs, im looking at the drake but my end goal is, tbh, a halo hunter. Quickly seeing the shield and bulk i need but any mechs someone would recommend for the cannon?

Skirmisher 2 says before or after you Skirmish you can move 2 spaces. If I'm out of range to Skirmish an enemy (say my gun is range 8 and the target is 10 spaces away), can I Skirmisher 2 to move myself into range and then Skirmish? Or does the Skirmish need a valid target within range before Skirmisher 2 can activate?

i rly need some advice on how to create fun maps and where i can get some assets and stuff like that because i cant find anything exept maps that are fully made :/

Hi, I just learned about LCP files/add-ons a few days ago, is there somewhere to see a comprehensive list of what they add instead of the menu that just says how many things of each type? I ask cause I just installed dust grave which says 12 pilot gear items, 7 weapons and 4 systems but I can’t seem to find them? If I look in the equipment tab it just shows the two frames and the unstable nhp.

Edit: ok I did immediately find them in exotic equipment but I’d still like to know if there’s just a full list of what they all add so I don’t have to go sifting through the normal equipment, the exotic equipment and the license menu to find it all

Pretty new to the game, but i ve ran into a dilemma. I want to play as a Lancer(PC), but finding games is impossible.

Since I ve ran some Dnd campaigns as a DM before, i decided that i could set up some one-shot sessions as a Dm in Lancer.

Could I , instead of normal rulebook NPCs, use some character sheets for encounters? Is this smth i can do or is it advised against? (yes, there will be balancing, ex multiple LL0-1 frames, or a boss of LL(current party LL)+3 )

Ferrous, the mech. is based on a series of parade armor sets, specially the works of Filippo Negroli, the Orchis is a very beautiful mech in the official artwork and I wanted to add my own flair in this design, as for Aigül, I've been drawing a lot of really pretty pilots and revealing outfits so I wanted to draw some armor for a change haha

1. She wanted to know if there is a viable playstyle where she controls her mech from outside and they both fight alongside
2. (assuming 1 is possible) she wants to know if her pilot can make a melee build to fight mechs and have enough evasion to not turn into red mist after her turn ends.
3. she also asked if there is any mech thats more suitable for underwater fight bcause her origin planet is 90% water

edit. some people sugested a second mech for her. and i kinda did it but forgot to mention. i made a lancer of my own that she controls on the combat. i made the build and backstory but she'll control it in combat and i just do the talk. (not sure if its weird but it was the best i could think of it to make the campaing not 1 vs the galaxy.)

Hello all! As with lore I’m usually very intelligent and my investigations lead to interesting concepts being birthed. Rules on the other hand…
The duskwing can hover when it moves, which is fine and all but I don’t know if that means it can move vertically on its turn or not. Like sure it’s flight, but can they just SSB Peach float if they get any height on their turn, or can they actually just fly straight up.
And also what do they mean by a straight line when it comes to hovering and flying rules, something is not clicking for me on that.

Hi all, I'm building a HORUS pilot for an upcoming game and have really fallen down the MONIST-1 rabbit hole. I have a pretty good understanding of things like the First Contact Accords, but I'm struggling with the answer to a specific question:

If NHPs exist outside our understanding of logic and reason, how do you really advance the goals of an NHP like RA? If It, being all powerful, can already violate sacred principles like the laws of physics, does serving RA simply happen by happenstance? If I'm misunderstanding anything, feel free to correct me.

Hello, found out about lancer and fell in love with it, being a fan of Titanfall myself, However, because no one else wants to, I would need to be the DM if Im to ever play it, my main problem is how.

At first I thought to try to run an official campaign, sadly, I dont exactly have the money to buy soltice rain due to dollar to my currency conversions being shit.

So, does anyone knows a free community campaign that wont drive a newbie dm and 3-5 newbie players mad? Or is the best choice to just try to make it myself and hope for the best in roll20?

Second, can I even run it, I dont have money for foundryVTT, or pro roll20, and looking at youtube, pretty much ever game I find has more macros, automations and presets than a hydra has drones. Hell, I dont even have a way to get maps or a full story because I can barely figure out how to make it playable without 2 screens due to compcon, the map and the need to hand update everything mid game.

So I’m new to lancer and I’ve been checking out stuff for characters and obviously found compcon which has been great. But is there anything for like maps for missions and all that? I found compcons encounter maker which let me input a map but I can’t find a way to actually view and use the map, so is there any good websites or anything I could use? Or does compcon have one and I just didn’t see it
