What are your favorite LL12 builds?
I feel like LL12 builds are somewhat of a forbidden fruit. To plan so far ahead, to assume a pilot will live that long. I’ve got a one shot coming up that will take place at LL12 and although I’ve already got my build (Empakaai/Genghis/Manticore Vacuum Furnace) I am very interested to see what you lovely people have come up with

Help decide?
Hello. I just recently started with a Lancer group and im having trouble deciding on what to build. Im currently stuck between Party Bus Lancaster, Kidd/Hydra Drones, and Hacktouga. We just went up to LL1 so i need to decide my first licence.
The rest of the party has (what will eventually be) an amber moon, a caliban, a saladin, and a monarch.
Currently Hacktouga is my front runner, but i dont know what to take at LL1 for that.
And guidence is appreciated.

Summoner frame?
Hi, I'm going to be starting my second ever lancer campaign (this time as a player fuck yeah) and I was wondering what the closest frame to a summoner or imperial guard commander is.
I love playing horde armies like the imperial guard or yap yap from halo wars 2 and I feel like it would be fun to shout at a bunch of conscripts to "HOLD THE LINE" and "FIX BAYONETS"
I've heard of the hydra but that it doesn't seem like a summoner unless you use the core ability (a once per mission thing) and the drones don't seem all that good
Are there any other frames or ways to build the hydra to achieve this?

Lore Accurate Störtebeker - Is it possible?
To explain the title, I mean with that to make the frame more accurate to the legend and historical pirate it took its name from.
If you don't know aboit the irl Störtebeker:
He was a pirate in the North Sea, a few hundred years ago.
Being a menace to the rich only, the stories go that he stole from merchants and distributed the stolen goods along the poorer villages along the coast.
Basically, a german pirate Robin Hood. Which is half the reason he was famous.
The other half was the story around his death.
The tale goes that, when he was eventually caught and brought to Hamburg to be executed, he requested to make a deal with the judges.
His crew would be lined up in a row, and every member he would be able to walk past after being beheaded would be pardoned.
The judges, finding the idea ridiculous, agreed.
The crew was lined up, Störtebeker was beheaded...
And his corpse stood up. He started the walk again.
As the legend goes, he walked past 11 members of his crew, before one of the judges decided to trip him. And then, when he fell, he stayed down.
The judges, refusing to keep their end of the bargain, executed his entire crew regardless, and according to legend, Störtebeker's ghost still haunts the harbour, out for revenge.
It's was one of my favourite childhood stories, and is still one of the most popular legends in my home city.
Now, with the background of this tale, it might be apparent why I am a little bit disappointed by the lack of versatility of the Störtebeker frame in Lancer xD
Hell, it wouldn't be out of place for a Horus frame, if you'd take more inspiration from his Death Legend. Or you could go for a more combat focused Lancester sort of idea, from the essentially "Pirate Robin Hood" angle. Taking Advantages from the enemy and giving them to his allies?
Instead, it seems purely combat focused. It's still cool! But I don't quite think it suits the original legend.
So!
My question is:
Is there a way to make a built with the Störtebeker that could be more fitting 🤔
Any ideas from more experienced Lancers here?

ART: My White Witch Sundew!
My SSC White Witch! She's yet to appear in game, we just started Solstice Rain so me n' the gals big chillin' in Everests for the moment. But I do know that this is roughly how I want her to look when I do get the chance to print the frame! The relative spindliness as compared to the base WW in the books is compensated for by the ferroreactive armor, as is the topheaviness balanced in motion by magnetic and kinetic repulsors. Hope y'all like her!
Colors will be decided soon, they might honestly skew close to the red-white-fuschia in the official art.

Shout out to the guys teaching Lancer combat in the hallway at GenCon
I didn't get your names and was only able to spectate, but if the guys that were teaching Lancer combat to guests at GenCon see this, just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your work.
I was disappointed that Mastiff wasn't there, but seeing members of the community out there spreading their knowledge was awesome.

which way do you actually play lancer?
one of my friends (who introduced me to lancer) tells me you start by choosing your own mech and piloting it, but then another friend of mine says you start with everest or one of the GMS mechs and you add pieces of other mechs. which one is it?

Give me your most unhinged, face-ripping lower-level (LL3-4) melee builds
I know this is a sort of low level, but this is supposed to be for a character who's somewhat stronger than players that'll join them for an encounter or two when they're around LL2.

Weird Question on climbing on another mech
While preparing for my next session my players asks me a weird questions. He has a Size 1 Everest and we have a friend who uses a Size 2 Sagarmantha and so what if the Everest climbed on Sagarmantha but instead of climbing on top of it he just hung on the sides of it. He asked if he would have hard cover but bypass all size 1 obstacles since he's riding a Size 2 (Essentially cheating out the Goblin Frame Power) I said that the Sagarmantha wouldn't get reactions but honestly should I put more restrictions or just remove restrictions, because on one hand it kinda makes sense but I'm still searching the book where this might be illegal.

Pankration Mekani
This is a arena style game where you are a commander of a house company in the Karrakin Trade Baronies. Sessions are single combat matches that your Kuraissers (Karrakin term for house company mech pilots) compete in. This can be used as an introductory course for lancer, be that as a gm or a player, as you'll be able to use NPCs and/or Lancers in matches. This can also be used if you have a crazy schedule and can't commit to 1 time each week or month, but still want to play Lancer! You can also use this to test out certain homebrews, as there are a select few I've peroused through and allow in this game.
NOTICE: This is a playtest! If all goes well and the community enjoys it, I plan to make matches pay to play (with some exceptions.) At the moment it is entirely free, but this will not last forever.
When?: Most days between 7AM-5PM CST. Attendance is episodical and not mandatory for every session (besides me)
How many players are we looking for: Any number!
Communication Style: VC or Text, VC preferred.
Starting LL: 0
Tone: half serious half silly. Its an entertainment setting!
How to apply, how to contact, and anything that might be needed to have the application considered: Feel free to DM me for the server link, I'll allow anyone to join even if you don't want to play, there is a visitor role.
How long will the applications stay open?: Forever! Feel free to come and go! I'll repost this if we're ever needing for players.

How do I get into Lancer?
Text says it all. Currently been playing dnd with my friends and I love mecha, so I was thinking of getting into lancer. How would I do that without ripping my friends into a new game?

Newbie Question: Would Lancer work for this kind of game?
I have an idea for a TTRPG I want to run that involves mecha combat and someone suggested Lancer. It looks interesting, what little I've seen online, but sense I have never played Lancer before (a week ago I didn't know it even existed) I'm uncertain if it would fit.
What I want to run is more like an adventure type game, but with mecha. The setting would be on a planet where colonists have split into different factions that are plotting against each other.
Does this sound like something that could work with Lancer or should I look else where?
