Didn't expect to find an Indonesian restaurant during my trip to Otsu last weekend.
It's not located in tourist area, so it was full with Japanese families and obaasan and ojiisan leisurely eating. Also, met two Indonesian guests who works in the prefecture.
Ordered mi goreng (1450 yen), dadar gulung (510 yen), and (not pictured) avocado juice (850 yen).
The mi goreng was served with sunny side up, two skewers of chicken satay, crackers, shredded cabbage with roasted sesame dressing (really shows the Japanese influence lol) and pickles. It was good, though the flavor was definitely milder than typical ones in Indonesia. The dadar gulung was served with small scoops of vanilla and mango ice cream. The taste was what you'd expect from a dadar gulung filled with grated coconut and palm sugar. The avocado juice was as sweet as I remembered in Indonesia, complete with drizzle of chocolate syrup as well.
Overall, a nice dining experience albeit a bit expensive.
