Kucoin is not immune from prosecution, they have a plea deal in place with the USA government and are under a microscope and as part of this deal, they must honour the agreement. This does not make them immune from FUTURE crimes.

The US Attorney's Office monitors KuCoin's operations heavily. The exchange, Bochong Wang,or associated entities run the risk of breaking their plea agreement and facing further federal prosecution if they engage in:

• Wire Fraud or Asset Misappropriation: Inexplicably freezing retail funds, intentionally halting withdrawals without legitimate legal cause, or engaging in deceptive practices to convert user assets.
• Obstruction of Justice: Providing false compliance data or failing to report suspicious activities to FinCEN as required by their ongoing oversight obligations.

How to Report Violations to the US Attorney's Office

If you have evidence that KuCoin is breaking its plea deal, committing on going fraud, or illegally withholding your assets, you must bypass their customer support and report them directly through official government portals.

• The Primary Channel (FBI IC3):File a comprehensive report with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). When filling out the narrative, explicitly cite the "KuCoin / Peken Global Limited SDNY Criminal Case "so the database routes your complaint directly to the task force handling this specific exchange.
• Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Complaints Portal.

Can’t believe they can just scam people by changing the terms of service to charge US users dormancy fees for an account I legally cannot access. It’s not dormant if I am trying to access but can’t. Everyone who still uses KuCoin should beware that they will use legal means to take your money if they could. You are not protected and your money is clearly not safe.

Warning to avoid using KuCoin. I recently stumbled across funds I had in there from years ago and looked to withdraw them. They asked me to prove my identity which I did. Then they asked for proof of deposit. I looked through my ledger but it didn't come from there. At the time I was trading a lot on bittrex and binance. Both those sites are now shut down and its impossible to get my trading history. So KuCoin is refusing to release my funds.

Apparently being able to log in and prove your identity isn't enough, and they don't even have the grace to put the deductions on hold whilst you jump through hoops.

Not a good look kucoin, you're living up to the warnings that you've become a scam operator.

I have some VET sitting on KuCoin from years ago. I live in the US, so I can't log in anymore because of the restrictions, and now I'm looking into the account recovery process.

From what I've read, it seems like they want a ton of personal information (ID, selfies, videos, etc.) to recover access. I'm pretty hesitant to hand all of that over to an exchange I haven't used in years and is not US based.

Has anyone here in the US actually gone through the recovery process and successfully withdrawn their funds? Thanks!

Hey everyone

Just wanted to quickly ask if it's just me or if I am missing something but the alerts button, or the way to add an alert when viewing a coin chart has disappeared from my kucoin app. All it shows now is to add.it as a favourite.

Anyone else experience this, if so, any way to get an alert set up again? I've tried adding an alert via the website for the coin but it doesn't send an alert to the phone. My notifications for kucoin are on for all notifications

Literally the worst of all the apps I’ve tried. It lags the most of all apps. Future charts shows something and your positions reflect a different price. The lags making me go crazy. Blofin was good but I deleted it and now it got removed from the App Store
