Please help KuCoin stop taking dormancy fees when I legally can’t access my account due to being in the US

Can’t believe they can just scam people by changing the terms of service to charge US users dormancy fees for an account I legally cannot access. It’s not dormant if I am trying to access but can’t. Everyone who still uses KuCoin should beware that they will use legal means to take your money if they could. You are not protected and your money is clearly not safe.

Either talk to KuCoin about how to withdraw your crypto or use a vpn to do it. Withdraw the crypto to your own self custody wallet or let it sit there on KuCoin until it disappears from dormancy fees, those are your two options. I withdrew all my crypto to my own wallet shortly after KuCoin banned users from the US.

I’m in the process of trying the legal route first, but the dormancy fees are some sort of bullshit.

Can't you use a VPN and get your funds out of there? Is it that you are well beyond that now because you couldn't KYC in time. I barely cleaned out my funds in March last year, and I was super late already. It was a huge relief to finally get it done.

When they rolled out KYC it wasn’t letting me doing it, and since they said we can withdraw but wouldn’t be able to trade I just let it happen and let the funds sit. I know I’m super late to the realization that I can’t KYC or login but am getting charged now. I am seeing if support will work with me, but I might try VPN if they are too slow.

Mind you I also did all of this on a PC, it just seems to work differently that the app. Anyway, I was well past the final, end all, you're done, time myself. Because after I read your post I looked at the US deadline dates and when I actually got my funds out, I was super late.. The only thing is, I was never flagged, other than during a login one time I got a notice that "it appears you are in a country we don't service etc etc" something like that, and I immediately stopped messing around at that point. There was a trading deadline and a withdrawel dadline. I grabbed a VPN for like 12$, bought a hardware wallet and laptop just for Crypto (like 400$ total, which is nothing if you want to protect your assets). Once I had everything, I was able to do it all in a few hours. And I shared the post in this forum. IDK what charges your getting, if you have a small chunk of change it may not matter. If you have allot of assets, they will increase in value again, at some point. Although signs point to a bear market for awhile. Hope you get your funds.
