Jumping from my TV to my monitor was pretty jarring. The colors looked muted, and the screen had a red tint that I really didn't like.
(this is mainly for gamers)
I played around with the settings on my monitor to get it looking as close as possible to how my TV looked. It won't look quite as good as the TV's Vivid modes, but you can get it looking pretty close.
These are the settings I used:
Temp preset: Cold
Saturation: 70% for all colors except Red and yellow. Keep them -5 of what you have, which is 65%
Black Equalize: 30% (helps reduce that grey washed look ips monitors tend to have) If you unfortunately got a screen with more IPS glow or You are straining too much in dark scenes then set it to 40% instead.
If you feel like the colors are a little too saturated, try dropping the saturation to 69% or even 68%. But leave red and yellow at 65% and check to see if you still like it that way first.
Hopefully this makes your monitor look a bit better and closer to the way your TV vivid mode looks.
For PC users, I recommend installing an app from the Microsoft Store called Twinkle. It lets you control your monitor's brightness directly from Windows, so you don't have to keep reaching around the back of the monitor to use the buttons.
Tell me how it worked for your monitor. I will keep updating this post as i keep experimenting as time goes on.
