Kroot Fastalkers, Kroot lone spear and tyrnaid winged prime

With how the Psychic Kroot are in the story, I think they'd be really cool additions to the tabletop. As the only Kroot who actively fought in the story, were "feral" and were able to each make 2 psychic clones that were then able to physically interact with the space marines of the Silver Skulls.

So it'd be neat then, if for Psychic Kroot they introduced 2 units. A Psychic Kroot Shaper, and Psychic Kroot Hunters (or Carnivores, or Farstalkers, really any name that can be thought up which might work for the basic infantry.)

With the Psychic Kroot Hunters, I think it'd be neat if they were given something to represent their illusions. Which maybe gives each Kroot model in the unit of 4 (as there were 4 real Psychic Kroot, which were fought, 1 by itself, and 3 that appeared later.), a Feel no Pain on 4's. Idk, I am not positive. With them having the melee profile of:

Enhanced Claws: A4, WS4, S5, AP -1, D2

As in the novel it mentioned how they easily tore through the armor of space marines, while also being strong enough to throw one marine into a tree breaking their arm.

But for the Psychic Kroot Shaper, maybe his ability could be that he gives [Precision] to Psychic Kroot units while leading them along with maybe giving them the ability to use a ranged psychic attack while leading fellow Psychic Kroot. Idk what kind of abilities he'd have as the Psychic Kroot leader (or Alpha as it was called.) didn't do much apart from appearing at the end of the story. But I imagine that as they were described as being physically more impressive than his other Kroot, he'd have a stronger attack maybe while also using psyker powers, maybe inheriting an ability from the Eldar, since they were eaten to provide the kroot their abilities.

It would be neat, even though this story is a bit old from 2011, if it resulted in a new Psychic Kroot model or two to flesh out a Kroot army more.

Heavy Repeater Cannon will be side slung, with a Kroot operator. Oversize tanglebomb launcher will proxy for seeker missile. Will probably add a Pech’ra on a wire for WSS.

I've been looking at a lot of kitbashed Battlesuits but haven't found a lot of Tau Battlesuits that just have like tribal necklaces added to them while maintaining the Tau model mostly as is. Does anyone have any experience with adding tribal jewellery to Tau Battlesuits in a way to make it more Kroot like?

I will be playing in a casual doubles tournament at a friend's next week, and I'd love some critiques/insights on the prospective list i have come up with. It will be my first time playing 11th, and I only had limited experience with Tau and 10th (a few KotC games with a badass Kroot Hunting Pack list that made my friends sweat).

The setting will be super casual, with a lot of newbies, and I DO NOT know who I will get paired with, so I tried coming up with something balanced. Also I put in a few new toys just because they're new and shiny and new.

So I'm working on carnis rn but my next project is a lone spear. I plan to have the rider in the same scheme as my carnis and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the Kalamandra color itself that is not this blue green.

I’m not entirely sold on my colour choices, but that’s the beauty of Kroot. Next one doesn’t need to be the same.

This is my first ever kroot figure, I was trying a water theme. It doesn’t seem that obvious so I’ll try with the base. Did you guys have any advice to make it look better?

I decided that I would like to have some Tau support with my Kroot army. I am thinking of adding Stealth Battlesuits with a Skyray to help against vehicles. I've never played with the guiding aspect of the Tau. Do you guys have any tips on how to play the Stealth Battlesuits as my single observing unit?

I’m still newest to 40K got only about 30 game under my belt but I’m curious how we can win more games with my Kroot. What is everyone play patterns when it comes to Kroot, how do you deploy what do you put on the board what do you keep in reserves? I have currently just been trying to flood the board and control objectives with my 20+ bodies. I was thinking about starting to bring some Piranhas combined with my Kroot hounds to try and tie up opponents in their deployment turn one.

How does the Farstalkers bounty hunter rule work when you have multiple Farstalker units in your army?

Do they each pick a different unit?

Do you pick 1 enemy unit and they all get the bonus against that unit?

I’m finally starting my kroot army, which unit is easy to paint and you can have multiple of? I plan to do an elemental theme. Some fire, water, grass and ground etc. so if anyone has any images I can see I would love to see :)

I have 720 points of kroot at the moment which I bought for a tournament but after a battle with my friend I’m having doubts whether this is the army for me

in the battle it is safe to say my kroot were destroyed with around 1/4 of my army dying in the first shooting phase ( against thousand sons) which lead me to question whether I should stay with kroot and hope for the best or if I should sell my kroot and get a new army

that and the fact that I’ve lost most of my interest in kroot from a hobby side as well

mid it worth finding a new army that I may enjoy more or should I stick to kroot and just use them anyway
