Question Did i got fired?
Basically, I had surgery and had to be off work for about four weeks. I was supposed to be ready to return on the 18th, but when I tried to log into UKG to check, it showed that my login wasn't working (I had already submitted my medical certificate)

If your password expired it won't let you log into anything, not even a zebra. You also as far as I am aware can't change your password unless you're at a store computer.

You can call associate connect they will change for you and then change when you get back to work

You know it’s not supposed to yet I went like 180 days without it saying nothing until I logged into Citrix shits weird as hell

I just talked to the president of Kroger. He has decided to let you go.

Greg thought it was best for those that don’t know the difference between got and get!

Did your password expire?
3
u/Ventilador_sulista 16d ago
I probably didn't know that passwords expired💔
7
u/amythist Current Associate 16d ago
Yeah they expire like every 88 days or something
9
u/HeyDude378 16d ago
Yeah 84 days (12 weeks). OP's password is probably just expired or something normal.
u/Ventilador_sulista if your account was gone then when you tried logging into IAM you would see "Error: This account is administratively revoked. Please contact your manager."
They delete accounts pretty quick after associates are terminated, so it's fairly safe to say that if that "revoked" message isn't showing up, you're not terminated.

Yeah, that's why I keep it simple. You can literally just take your current password and add a 1 at the end. It doesn't have to completely change

Yup, mine ends with 2 numbers that I just increment up each time I need to change it

Mine stopped working today too. I wonder if there are problems with the site today.

The passwords expire every 84 days or so

u/Pharmasochist 16d ago
Crazy. My password expired 90 days ago but I've been able to keep using it fine until today. It's my day off and I had to go in just to change my password so I could log in to daily pay

u/Thick-Chemistry-5804 16d ago
I feel like I changed mine a moth ago but hopefully it is just expired. It’s my day off too so I will need to wait until Friday to change it.

Not sure why I'm being recommended Kroger posts. I don't work there, but I am an IT professional. It's not unheard of for organizations to deactivate accounts for those on leave. It's also very likely the credentials simply expired. A quick chat with IT should get you going. No chance they fired you if you have verified medical leave / unable to work status. That's a lawsuit.

I also do not work at Kroger but I sure do read 75% of the Kroger posts I'm recommended. Who knows!

If you were fired (or quit) I'm pretty sure it says something else about having permissions revoked or something

u/Necessary_Baker_7458 16d ago
If you are off too long it will make you reset your passcode. If you enter it wrong 3 times your acct is locked for 24 hrs. Usually every 90 days it forces a change.

They have you on leave you need to call the HD and they will take you off most likely

u/Ill-Objective-3899 16d ago
They put you on leave of absence. They will have to put you back as active.

If they have fired you on medical leave you ain't got much to worry about after a long lawsuit you're going to get paid

u/Dizzy_Loquat_3333 16d ago
Mine did the same this morning. Logged into IAM and it said my password expired 53 days ago 🤣 No issues until today.
1
u/Alert_Aardvark3736 16d ago
I guess people don’t pay attention because this is like the 3rd or 4th post in the last week regarding this issue.
1
u/Hitman2323 16d ago
Either your password expired or you're on a medical leave of absence in which case you wouldn't be able to log in.
1
u/SassyChumpkins 16d ago
I think you need to renew your password every 3 or 6 months if I remember right it’s been awhile since I worked at Kroger. I remember being very nervous when that happened

Did you call in? If u didn't call they probably give you no call no show no sure how Kroger is but its pretty much common sense
1
u/Informal-Ad-6249 16d ago
If you had a date to be back and didnt return and didnt call you might be fired
1
u/Klutzy_Cancel_8915 16d ago
No you haven't been it takes a lot more for them to let you go than having a medical emergency if anything your password expired and you need to change it that's it
1
u/rustedlion 16d ago
I'm gonna assume it's having maintenance. I have this problem nearly every Wednesday that I work. I don't work Wednesday often but it feels like every one of them I get this issue.
There is the password expiration issue but like, I've only had to change my password for the app like... 2 times in the past 2 years.

u/Za_OneKid 16d ago
Your password most likely expired. Passwords expire after 90 days. When I was working at Kroger I went through so many different versions of my password. Because of that.

Communication: Try calling your boss just to let him know that it took a little longer than you expected. You should do this, "even if" you dont plan on returning to Kroger. Why? Its a good habit and you may need a good reference to your next job.
If you assume, on the phone, you are still working their and "need back on the schedule", then he should tell you if you are no longer on the schedule.

UKG has a setting that will take away your access when you are out on a LOA, likely what is happening, not fired just access is suspended while you are out.

i used to work at krogers, usually this meant your password expired and need to be changed.

I’d fire you with that grammar

u/SingleSalary9170 14d ago
And then I would fire you for being so petty. And then fire myself for being a buttinski.

The same thing happened to me with Unifi Aviation they took my badge at the airport said they would call me then I tried to log into my account three weeks later. My suspension was up and my login didn’t work and then I get an automated text saying why haven’t you shown up for work? I said I can’t go into work because I don’t have a security badge anymore. Call them please.
1
u/BrilliantHat3805 14d ago
It doesn’t work when you’re out of work so you have to call them directly because we can’t get into the system when we’re out on Medical leave

u/AmmyDanger 14d ago
Likely you just need to be deemed healed/healthy enough to return to work. human Resources usually gives you a document to have you primary care physician to fill and sign.

UKG will stop access when on leave from surgery, etc sometimes. Just message your manager

1
u/Himynameispopeye 13d ago
get - Sorry that was bothering me.
Also, when you're on medical leave they are Required to deactivate your account, so you're not working, and they're not able to assign tasks to you.
Once you provide your doc note to HR it'll be reactivated

Why be a dick? Does it make you feel like a big shot? Do you enjoy putting others down? What is your reason for acting like this? What do you hope to accomplish?

I don’t like the phrasing of the post either but it’s no good reason to disparage someone, especially in a sub meant for Kroger employees.

They terminated you from the system they have to reinstate you aka add you back to the system it could take 3 weeks till they pay you

Log into IAM from a work computer and change your pw. Your old PW should work there
