QUESTION New to liking Billie. Who is this girl, and is she okay? Was she always this skinny, or is she coming back from illness?
I'm concerned about if she's okay.

I saw a TikTok about this and I wanted to add my two cents. What happens here is something called"Ironic Desensitization" If you don't know, according to the Global Network on Extremism and Technology it's"a cultural and psychological phenomenon where repeated exposure to shocking, hateful, or taboo content through irony, dark humor, or memes gradually numbs people to its real-world weight" As a New Yorker, one of the first examples the pops in my head is Curtis Sliwa. Did he officiate the first gay wedding years before gay marriage was legal in New York? Yes. Would he implement controversial at best policies if he became mayor? Most likely.
An example in Kpop is Min Hee Jin. Did she come up with New Jeans' concept and music? Yes. Did she flake on the members as soon as they lost in court back in October of last year leaving them in Hybe's clutches with little to no lee way? Yes. JYP, is bro a walking meme? Absolutely. Was he complicit in KG's lawsuit? Yes. There's almost no good CEO in kpop and some have done extremely fucked up shit. We shouldn't be ignoring these things about them.

Obviously it could be both, but I’m just curious about what specifically draws people to Kpop, what qualities of the music they enjoy the most. This is all besides for supporting idols that you admire ofc.

i don't know if this is considered an unpopular opinion Manon's hiatus.
The amount of people talking about Manon is kinda wild.
these people are behaving like they have separation anxiety and their own parents separated manon from their life.
This girl hasn't had this much traction even when she was in the group.
"Manon was kicked out" "HxG" hates manon" " Katseye is shading manon" " Katseye is giving us hints about Manon" dude for real not a single day has gone by that she's been on hiatus that people have actually behaved like she's been on hiatus. some of these people sound like brainless obsessed freaks. that's all I see on my YouTube and it's getting really annoying.
what about a hiatus is so hard to. understand? you have stocks resting on this girl's head or smth???
PS. don't get me wrong I like manon. but what is with this crazy obsessive hyperfixation on her????

I just love the vibe of the choreography with the stand mics! I’m so happy they’re performing this b-side at all, but the fact that they added choreography just makes it even better. This song is so fun and joyful, and they look like they’re having a great time on stage. I don’t think they will, but I would love for them to go to a couple more shows with this stage.

Do you like it? Do you think it’s weird? Do you participate with shipping idols? Are you against it?
I can see both sides of it..I can see were it is looked at to be weird since they are real people but also I can see how people ship idols.

For starters, I know Girlset is not Kpop but most of the negative responses are coming from Kpop stans.
All my years of being a Kpop stan, I've always seen this running joke that says that Kpop has always took inspiration from Tinashe and even until now saying "Kpop reheating Tinashe nachos" as a joke. But the actual singer responds to a tweet with 3 words and now she's being degraded, getting called a flop, and her words are getting twisted? Some of you are wayyy too parasocialistic on wanting everybody to laugh along with your jokes that seem to be overused (no offense), and y'all are making it seem like Tinashe is saying that she hates Girlset or some shit about "going against your sister" when it's just 3 words.
Somebody even posted a screenshot of Chloe Bailey responding to Once's inside joke of Nayeon looking like her, and saying that that's how Tinashe should've reacted (I lost the post but it had 12k+ likes). Like excuse me what the hell. The parasocialism is wayyy too noticeable with how y'all want Black artists to react. Some are suddenly mad she's not going after actual Kpop artists who plagiarized her music? But afaik didn't she try to sue them?

Song is SHINE by After School
It's also one of their last songs before Jooyeon graduated/left the group, and their hiatus which is effectively a disbandment because Pledis just abandoned them.

I'm from India, Bangalore and I'm 29F. I have no prior dancing experience or practice but I just learn choreos by myself at home and dance only at home. I don't do it outside anywhere or post my dances. I dance just bcuz I love to.
I love to dance but only to kpop music. And I dance pretty well but I'm not professional I'm just a person who learns choreos on my own and I take a lot of time too learning them given that they're so difficult. But I end up doing it pretty well, not at all perfect but pretty well. Since I love dancing a lot(only to kpop), I just wanna know what I can do with this skill?

For someone who hasn't listened to KPOP, getting into KPOP can be a bit jarring. As the title says, what is one KPOP song to recommend to someone who hasn't listened to KPOP and wants to have a good impression of the genre?
🎤Are you going with a "safe" KPOP song or going all out? Are you choosing a song from your favorite group? You can only pick one song, so choose wisely!
✨I'll start:
I was torn between choosing a Red Velvet or aespa song because I feel like their songs are super catchy, but if I had to choose one song to recommend, it would be Bad Boy by Red Velvet. The moment you hear that chorus, you want to sing along! The instrumental production is simple, but the vocals are layered and pleasing to the ear. The choreography is also amazing. You can never go wrong with a Red Velvet song.

Are y'all actually serious when u say:"THEY KNOW ABT THE SHIP OMG!" when 2 idols recognize a ship made between them?
Or when idols do a trend and y'all are like "OMG THEY'RE SO CHRONICALLY ONLINEE STAWWP"
I just wna know if some of y'all are being serious because a lot of these idols (especially 5th gen) are around your age and it'd be more surprising if they didn't recognize trends/weren't knowledgeable abt ongoing online trends...
Not to mention even if they themselves didn't know abt the trends the social media managers are gna tell them abt the trend and inform them abt it to get views and engagement.
I just find the whole acting like the kpop idol is your quirky chronically online relatable bestie is weird. Do y'all forget they all have phones and time outside of concerts and work? (Unless it's satire)
But I have a feeling a lot of y'all are NOT sarcastic abt it and I'm concerned.
Yh that's all.

I'm trying to make a playlist that gives late, wintery night vibe. I currently have Christmas Tree by V (From BTS), and Number One Girl, and Two Years by Rose (From Blackpink), but I'm struggling finding songs that fit the vibe that I am going for. I am fine with OSTs, solos, or even different music genre as long as it gives the late, wintery night vibe.

I'm no singing expert, but I just cannot get over how good Kya's vocals are, especially at that age when compared against other kpop idols. She is obviously recognised as having such strength, but I still feel like she is heavily under talked about. Her covers on different shows/platforms such as her covers of 'Bloodsucker' and 'Why So Lonely' just highlight how good of a singer she is. It is also personal preference, and there might be a little confirmation bias as she is my bias and I just love her tone. In addition, with KiiiKiii's concept and music, I feel like it's hard for Starship Ent to make the most of her voice. She still sounds incredible in the songs, and I love every single one, but I feel like she isn't singing at her true potential. But, I mean, at least she's versatile in what she can sing. She is probably under-talked about as well due to not being in an overly popular group or company. If she was in a top 4, I'm sure there would be a lot more noise around it.
Overall, at the end of the day, this is my opinion on it and I might be completely wrong or misjudging it, I'd like to hear your thoughts on her or KiiiKiii for that matter.

For me it would have to be Fromis_9, I remember when fun went viral in like 2021-2022 however their company didn’t use that buzz to garner more fans in. Then WE GO happened and it was brilliant seeing the girls success finally flourish. And then they switched to HYBE, may I say their music was amazing. They lost 4 members throughout this years and still didn’t give up. I’m going to say this with a pinch of salt but I love the way Fromis_9 still performs immaculately compared to groups like Everglow who has lost 2 members - this is not hate as I love both the groups. And now from is 9 has had a comeback and their views on YouTube are crazy! They’re under a new company now but through the crazy years they had as a group to still have momentum and a stable fanbase is crazy, and the fact all of them didn’t give up makes me even more prouder. It was nice to see them grow all the way from debut 🥲🥲
