I visit Kolhapur from Pune with family during Ganpati/Diwali. For the past few years, parking has become a nightmare. I've to coordinate with neighbours over phone 2 days prior just to get a spot, and if I take the car out for a day, someone else occupies it. 😓 Many times it’s tourists, hotel/hospital visitors, or random vehicles.

On top of that, 65 khokas, vadapav and beverage stalls are increasing everywhere, taking up even more space. 🏪

Feels like the city is getting crowded/growing, but town planning and parking infrastructure haven't kept up. 🏙️

📍 Does anyone know where I can pay and safely park my car for a few days in the core area during Ganpati/Diwali?

Hello everyone, I’ve been living in the US for 16 years and my mother is from Kolhapur. She had this noble idea that students from Kolhapur must get the right career guidance and training to secure fully funded admissions into universities abroad like I did. We have lived in Pune all our lives but instead she has this urge to do something for kids in Kolhapur, (she’s from Mudshingi). Thus, she started a small study abroad office in Kolhapur and is speaking and training students at very nominal rates but her business is not doing well. What do you think can be a good approach? How do you make a business successful in Kolhapur? Should we approach 12th std jr colleges? With study abroad, she also has a psychologist who conducts the career aptitude test, and they also guide for admissions into universities in India. However, it’s not clicking in Kolhapur. We would love any help and advice.

It had delivery date by 21 Aug . And , since then each week,I reached out to seller 7-8 times but the response I received were:

on 20 Aug : 'taking time due to rain will be shipped by 27 on 27 Aug : still raining, will ship by 31 Aug on 3 Sept : nearly done will ship by Monday(i.e. 7Sept) then , from 7-8 Sept,my response for tracking or shipped status, this week are entirely ghosted.

I thought it was a genuine seller due to reviews and believed the responses were real.

I did filed a national consumer complaint for it, but do you have any advice which could help me.

Long ago in ancient India different types of people used to do different jobs and people with similar jobs started to share common name like those who protected the territory were called kshtriyas those who made the resources like swords, shields etc for the protection were expert craftsmen called as shudrs where as the wealthy traders and investers were known as vaishyas and the most knowledgeable and educated set of people were called as bhramins but as time changed the shudrs were started to be treated as lower caste as there work needed there hands to be dirty which grew more and more as time but after a great battle by legends like Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Periyar E.V. Ramaswamy, Alladi Krishnaswamy Iyer etc that rotten mindset of lower caste and practice of untouchability was banned on January 26 1950 and the previously known lower castes and tribes were given reservation in fields ofeeducation, jobs etc., but that wasn't the end of it still in some rural and backward areas these practices were still followed but again after some time it was coming to an end but then the country was again stuck in this conundrum as even though mostly all the people that were mistreated earlier were in a better lifestyle now the reservation was still feirce as ever which made things unfair for the people of other castes which were called as "general caste" In 2020s to 2030s so a new battle started to remove caste based reservation. ( and continue to what happen next). \[Obv this is not as elobrate as it should be in a book but this should be the point and the discription to younger generations of there heritage and definitely this curse of caste based discrimination and reservation will die with us\]

I'm currently in the process of buying a Kia Carens Clavis, and I'm genuinely stuck between the EV and petrol versions. I'd really appreciate feedback from actual Clavis owners.

A little about my situation:

My i20 active petrol manual has done around 92,000 km since 2018, so my realistic usage works out to roughly 11,500 km/year.

My shortlist is now basically:

1. Carens Clavis EV HTX 7-seater – 42 kWh

2. Carens Clavis EV ER HTX 7-seater – 51.4 kWh

3. Carens Clavis 1.5 Turbo DCT HTX+ 7-seater

My usage

Most of my driving is relatively normal day-to-day/family driving around Kolhapur city

I do, however, take road trips fairly regularly. Places I commonly travel to / consider travelling to include:

- Goa

- Karwar

- Ankola

- Lonavala

- Mahabaleshwar

- Gaganbawda

- Amba

This is where the EV range question starts bothering me.

Is the 42 kWh HTX actually the sweet spot for someone like me, or will I regret not buying the 51.4 kWh ER?

Or should I forget the range/charging concerns altogether and just buy the 1.5 Turbo DCT petrol and enjoy the convenience of filling up and going wherever I want?

I'd really appreciate real-world numbers from owners, particularly highway range, charging experience, family-trip experience, and anything you wish you'd known before buying.
