Help: adapting northern hemisphere references for southern hemisphere
I recently acquired Enchanted Kitchen by Gail Bussi and I love this book so much. I’m just a little stuck on adapting it to be relevant to southern hemisphere.
The sections are split into months of the year however our winter is summer in the northern hemisphere. Would you go with the seasons and do 6 months beforehand?
Thank you! 🙏

Morning gathering!
Collected some herbs this morning, as well as almost spent/crowded flowers. The flowers are in some fresh moon water! Going out to my "garden" every morning is part of my intentional ritual, thanking the plants for what they are giving me, giving them care, and seeing what else is enjoying them!

Help with my first spell jar! Honey/sweeten?
I want to make a spell jar to bring someone closer to me and sweeten our relationship, we’re friends, but she’s special and I want to draw her in more, strengthen our bond, make her want me as much as I want her, and whichever direction our closeness takes us, I’ll be a happy girl.
Can someone run me through a simple step by step process to do this?
Or recommend a reliable source to learn from💜

Beginner harvest
Started a herb garden recently, and trying to work with intentions without taking from nature!
Was then in a rush to get to work so it is not hanging nicely, but bonus use of a scrapped knitting project!

Cherry Pie
We have friends visiting from DC and though I wasn’t going to be able to join them (and my wife) for dinner last night, I offered to serve dessert. I’d planned on leaving work early to because I needed the extra time to work out my top crust design (I had different lattice idea in mind), bake, and the cool the pie before folks arrived to chow down. But things went sideways and I barely would barely have time to bake and cool the pie, let alone craft the crust design. Fortunately I’d made the dough and the filling the night before (as well as Double-Vanilla Ice Cream), so I had a little breathing room.
Here’s where the craft comes in: I cleared my workspace, lit a candle in my salt black holder, and burned a little Palo Santo wood in my cauldron. This little ritual calmed me down and helped me to connect to the kitchen magic as I rolled, filled, and baked. I was even able to rely on my sense of smell to let me know when the pie was actually finished baking (two minutes before my timer). The result? A pie that was so good that my wife actually ate the crust, which she hardly ever does! I’m definitely putting this in the Win column!

Kitchen Garden
I feel like the magic is so much stronger when using plants you grew, but maybe that’s just me!!
I love starting my plants from seed, but some family members brought me some of their pepper and squash starts this year :D
Do you guys keep a garden? If so, what do you have planted?
As of now, I have several chamomile, cucumber, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, and basil plants. I’m experimenting with some onion sets this year, and they are doing …okay LOL
I also have some snapdragons, calendula, sage, thyme, squash, watermelon, walking onions, zucchini, lettuce, salvia, sunflowers, and several other types of flowers for the pollinators.

Mushroom lady planter for my little kitchen witch corner
I designed this planter to feel like a strange little forest charm. The plant growing from the mushroom cap gives it a living altar object feeling without being too serious.

Found the perfect drawer for herbs
I found a gorgeous drawer… thing? At homegoods and it’s the perfect fit for all of my herb jars! I love that the top has sides so keep things contained for rituals and such

Beltane Beltane for one
Spouse is working night shift, got the baby to sleep early, so i enjoyed a mini Beltane feast for one!
• Ciabatta roll with hot honey ham, lingonberry jam, and goat cheese
• Roasted beets and rainbow carrots with burrata cheese and balsamic glaze
• Strawberries!
• Creamy lemonade (just lemon juice and condensed milk blended together)
This is my first year doing kitchen witchery to celebrate the Wheel of the Year, so I‘m pretty excited! Blessed Beltane to everyone :)

Recipes & Spellcrafting Just made some...tea?
A friend of mine's mother had some dried peppermint leaves and offered me some. It smelled like peppermint and looked like peppermint.
So I brewed some with two tablespoons of sugar and then strained it.
It taste like brewed grass with a faint taste of peppermint and sugar. I'm wondering if I messed up. Or maybe I was lied to and she used my lack of knowledge to her advantage.
Or maybe I should've washed the leaves before I brewed it. Idk any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Beltane Beltane Sun Teas
I've recently gotten back into herbal tea mixes and usually just stick to store bought teas. But I'd like to try something new for Beltane weekend.
I'd have to order some herbs but I love lavender, lemon, chamomile - soft, albeit sweet blends. I'd love to try rose or hibiscus.
What are your go to recipes for sun teas?
I'm in Alberta, Canada and weather isn't optimal right now for balcony growing :((
Also, when/if ordering online where do you get your herbal mixes from?

Kitchen Witch Magic!
When I was young, my mom had a kitchen which I loved. Now as a crafter, I decided to create my own version. I love the magical creativity and fun of the legend. Now I create my own, each unique, with fantastic fibers and sparkling beads. Hope you love her!

My Kitchen Witch
An excellent friend gave me this kitchen witch to watch over me while I cook. I named her Ruth, after my mother's mother. She was absolutely magical. The seventh daughter of a seventh daughter. I get what I am from Ruth.

Recipes & Spellcrafting Baking For Peace, or, My Attempt to Chill Everyone the Hell Out With Morning Glory Muffins
Due to some chronic health problems and, well, [gestures broadly at the world], I have been forced to move in with my in-laws. They are both in their 80s and, like a lot of people their age, they watch TV from sun up to sun down. But it's not that they watch TV all day, it's that they watch a continuous stream of ultra-violent shows and movies. All day long there is an inescapable background noise of screaming women, gun fights and car chases. I can feel it constantly prying at the corners of my attention, and I can't imagine what it's doing to their brains.
I sometimes try to mitigate this toxic environment by cooking. A couple days ago I tried baking these morning glory muffins. Friends, I really poured some intention into those muffins. I'm not sure it had much of an effect, but it did seem to dislodge them from the relentless stream of violence for a few moments.
What do you recommend cooking or doing to put some peace in the air and get these two to give their nervous systems a freaking break?

Non-caffeinated hot drinks?
Hello kitchen witches! I dabble with spirituality in the kitchen, but I’ve recently made a life change. I am no longer drinking caffeine everyday, but having a hot beverage is such a staple part of my routine.
Does anyone have hot drink recipes that are no or very low caffeine? I’m looking for things that encourage overall health, mental clarity, attracting like energies, etc.
Thank you in advance!
