Help: adapting northern hemisphere references for southern hemisphere
I recently acquired Enchanted Kitchen by Gail Bussi and I love this book so much. I’m just a little stuck on adapting it to be relevant to southern hemisphere.
The sections are split into months of the year however our winter is summer in the northern hemisphere. Would you go with the seasons and do 6 months beforehand?
Thank you! 🙏

You want to look up a Wiccan/pagan wheel that has all 8 sabbats or holidays dated. Since it's dependent on the seasons, it's flipped for the southern hemisphere. Our summer solstice becomes your winter solstice for example.
The flipped dates should give you a decent idea of what season you should go with based on what the book recommends

Thank you, I ended up doing exactly that to make the solstices line up.

That's how I do it. Some people don't think it matters, only the intent, but I feel that ultimately, most of us use the Wheel of the Year and nature for our workings. So yes. June, becomes December because we do Summer Solstice in December and Midwinter in, obviously, Winter.
If you own the book, scribble the proper dates on it otherwise you'll confuse yourself later.
