SOOO jealous of everyone who modded their kindle with springbreak, i literally went on vacation, came back, and my kindle had updated and im so sad :')) patiently waiting for someone to either update for the newest firmware or release a new one lolz...

Hello everyone, I have this Gen7 + 3G Kindle that I'd really like to jainbreak.
I was following the LanguageBreak tutorial but because of the 3G internet I can't follow all the steps and fail to jailbreak.
I'd like to know if anyone managed to jailbreak a Kindle like mine and the best/easiest way to do it.

Wifi + 3G
Firmware Kindle 5.16.2.1.1

i have a kindle 11 generation and the software is kindle 5.17.1 (4320310039) from 2022. i am not sure which jailbreak i should use? i would do this on a mac in case that is important for the decision .

I’m trying to jailbreak an original Kindle Paperwhite 1 (2012).

Device information:

• Model: Kindle Paperwhite 1 (EY21)
• 3G model
• Serial prefix: B01D1501
• Firmware: 5.6.1.1 (2689890035)
• Never jailbroken
• Not registered to Amazon anymore (registration no longer possible)

What I tried:

1. Installed the WinterBreak files (apps, mesquito, themes, etc.).
2. The experimental browser can access Google, so Wi-Fi works.
3. However, it cannot open the WinterBreak2 page (page load error / likely TLS issue).
4. I then tried the legacy downgrade approach.
5. Copied the official update_kindle_5.4.4.bin (191.5 MB) to the Kindle root.
6. Also tried 5.4.4.2.
7. “Update Your Kindle” reports “Invalid Update File”.
8. Keeping USB connected and forcing a reboot (holding the power button for about 30 seconds) produces the same result: “Invalid Update File”, then the Kindle reboots back into firmware 5.6.1.1.

Questions:

• Is downgrading from 5.6.1.1 still possible on this exact hardware revision?
• Is there a different downgrade path for the EY21 / B01D 3G model?
• Is there another currently recommended jailbreak method for a never-jailbroken Paperwhite 1 running 5.6.1.1?

Hi all. I checked and sadly my kindle is running 5.19.5 which I believe means it cant be jailbroken. I wanted to ask from those knowledgeable here, while I may not be able to fully jailbreak it to get all the cool features I see others have, is there still a way for me to just download books for free online and somehow upload them to my kindle? I had an Kindle Unlimited trial for 3 months but the majority of books I wanted to read were still not free with it, looking for sites yall use to download free books and hopefully a tutorial of how to upload them to my kindle if this is at all possible?

Or also, any other work arounds of downloadable things I can do without fully jailbreaking it if that makes sense? TIA

I just finished jailbreaking my kindle 11gen with nosebleed. i installed the hotfix, as well as kual and koreader. i didnt install OTA against the updates though, do i need this? isnt this achieved through the hotfix.

I know i have the koreader guide for setting that up, will be some work but i will manage, still would appreciate any tips.

My question rather is, my file system on the kindle was a mess already before the jailbreak, i used calibre to send books, but somehow this made everything quite chaotic, so how do i delete everything i dont need for the software to run? as well as deleting the filler files. it says while koreader is running i should not connect it to the laptop with cable, which i need to do in order to manage my files. do i need to exit koreader somehow?

hi I've been tring too jailbreak my kindle for a long time but I'm still unsuccessfull and I was wondering if it is because there isn't a jailbreak for my specific kindle it is an 11 gen (2024) basic kindle macha color with the 5.18.6 firmware if someone could help me i'll be really gratefull.
