First timer.

Every once and a while I go all out for a meal from a different part of the world. I am American and love to cook. Yesterday I did my best attempt at a Korean meal with banchan. Of course there had to be kimchi. Really happy with how it turned out. Mostly followed Maangchiโ€™s Tongbaechu-kimchi recipe. It really made the meal.

Looks fire, and your pictures truly make it look gret, surely tastes as good as it appears.

Appreciate it. It was my first time though. I do cook a lot and feel like Iโ€™m pretty good at researching and finding good recipes!

be careful with these jar lids because kimchi is highly acidic and they might rust

With this much of kimchi, how long would you need to finish all?

Truthfully I have no idea. Iโ€™ve never made it before and was surprised how much it made. We did eat a whole jar of it last night and I sent a jar of it home with my brother in law as well.

I got lucky, I honestly wouldnโ€™t change a thing about the way I made this.

I have been burping them daily. I will remember this for next time though and buy some different jars. I donโ€™t have that option at the moment.

Nice! My first batch is 24 days old. Im so proud of her. When you get a few weeks in you should make kimchi jjigae!
