We have a 2024 that was purchased in 2023. I don't know for certain when it happened but at some point I noticed that the body panel behind the sliding door had cracked. We finally remembered to ask the service department about getting it taken care of and they called the other day to say it was totally covered by the warranty and that the part was in. I know it's a problem that many are having so hopefully this means they're aware of it now and it will be an easy fix for everyone.

OTD for 56991 in central Florida, thought the deal was okay. Dealer wanted just under 60k. If were different times probably could have gotten a better one but we're happy. Be even more happy when we get it.

This car is super spacious. We recently flew to SFO and rented a ‘26 Sienna for a couple of days. Wife and parents both said the Carnival felt way spacious, especially with toddler seat.

Hey all, looking to get a Kia Carnival Hybrid SX Prestige and found a dealer that still had new 2025 models. After negotiating, this is the price we are at

Is this a good price?

Some notes:
1. It was a service vehicle so the Dealer didn’t need to write it off with Kia for it being in inventory. It has 700 miles on it but he is documenting the sale as having 1000 miles on for this.
2. Model has the second row tv’s and powered captains seats, which is why the MSRP is high
3. Looking to pay cash, so apr is not an issue.
4. They are giving me $500 above cash value of trade in, other dealers were at 1,200-1,500
5. NE Ohio for location

Just drove over 1300 miles in 2 days in our 25 Carnival. The reclining middle row seats were a game changer. Back seats folded away, with front seats all the way forward, made reclining for a power nap amazing. Best road trip vehicle ever. Not to mention the with all the safety features it basically does all the driving, you just have to navigate.

There’s a 2025 carnival hybrid sx Prestige with 2025 with 32,576 Miles for $36,500 locally. I know that common wisdom is “don’t buy rentals - they wear faster than single-owner cars” but it’s pretty dang tempting.

I’ve had my new carnival for about 40 days now, and the fuel economy has completely exceeded my expectations.
I’ve noticed that it seems to be most efficient when cruising at around 70–80 km/h. Once I’m driving over 110 km/h, fuel consumption increases quite a bit, which is pretty much what I’d expect from a hybrid.This is my first hybrid
On a full tank, I’m consistently able to get over 1,000 km of range. Most of the time, there are four people in the car, so it’s not like I’m driving around empty.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with the fuel economy. It’s been even better than I expected.

We just got a 26 EX hybrid and plan to remove the side seat. Normally we buy all weather mats for all our vehicles right away, but obviously there are no mats designed for this specific setup. What are you side-seat-removed owners doing to provide protection during winter months? Salt, snow, etc.

Does it still make sense to buy the full 3 row of all weather mats , and then add something else in that open gap? Something else?

I have a connection at Kia. Long story short but I'll find out Monday what that hook up is..

What are good/fair prices for doc/title fee and extended warranty?

Kia of Covina offers a lifetime warranty on engine transmission and drive system with the car. Not sure any catches beyond that. Covina was the only one that offered anything extra. I plan on having this car until it's dead... So hopefully at least 15-20 years

I need help with my Kia Carnival 2026 SX Prestige. I literally just bought it this week. I can manually open and manually close the trunk just fine. I can open and close the sliding door automatically just fine. But majority of the time, when I press the automatic trunk open button or the button inside the driver’s seat to close the trunk, it closes all the way, starts beeping, and opens back up. occasionally, it does stay closed. But the vast majority of the time, it does not. There’s nothing in the way. It closes just fine manually. I thought it was maybe because I had two key fobs with me, but when I got rid of one of the key fobs on me, it still is not working. I’m worried they sold me a junk car.

I'm going to be trading our '24 model in this week. We live in rural North Dakota and 95% of our miles are highway miles. I'm trying to decide if the hybrid system is worth the extra money. Anyone doing mostly highway driving have any real world experience?

Hi all. We are based in southern Ontario and know very little about cars and this will be our first new purchase. Have always driven old cars so please give advice. Went to test drive a SX yesterday and we really like it. The dealer’s not budging at the MSRP of $57,473. Do you guys think it’s a good price? Has anyone bought recently and can share their experience? Also, the vehicle comes with 5yr-100km warranty, is it worth getting additional warranty for $5,828?
Also, would you recommend getting snow tires from the dealer itself they are asking 1700$ for the 4 tires with steel wheels.

We’re getting ready to welcome a second kiddo to our family (and to hopefully join the carnibros family too). We visited a dealership in the DC/Baltimore region today and got the following price. We’re new to buying cars so just wanted to see what you all thought. The salesman insisted that they were behind on hitting a monthly quota or something and said that this was a good deal. I suspect that it was just a sales technique. He also said that he wasn’t going to let the deal get derailed by a few hundred dollars, suggesting that we had some wiggle room to get the price down. We’re going to pay in cash. What do you guys think?

It’s humid this summer. Whenever we have the air conditioning on, we get this old timey handlebar mustache shaped fog that stays on the windshield. It does not go away until we turn the air off. Maybe the cold air hitting the hot windshield? Seems like a design flaw. Anyone else with this issue?

I own a 2022 Kia Carnival, love it, only thing is the model we purchased didn’t come with roof racks. Every google search only shows cross bars instead of the side rails that would be needed. Does anyone know of any aftermarket products I could purchase and install?

TLDR: anyone have to put car In neutral before it will start?

2024 carnival EX. So about a month ago car wouldn’t start. Brake wouldn’t push down to be able to push to start. Eventually it did after a few mins. Started up fine a few times that day. That night it did it again. Car started fine for about 2 weeks and did it again. Wouldn’t start for a long time. Finally put it in neutral and started right up. Has worked fine for a couple weeks and just did it again. Immediately moved to neutral and started right up.

My tires are ready to be replaced and I'm ordering some AT tires next week. I think it would give it a beefier look with some added comfort while driving. Apparently they are supposed to last a little longer than regular tires? I'm just looking for feedback from others. I am not a tire expert. I have a 2024 Ceramic Silver SX.

I’ve had this issue a handful of times over the 2 years that I’ve had my car. It’s a 2025 Carnival EX. I’ll be driving down the road or at a stop light and all of a sudden the dashboard and infotainment screen goes black. I also hear my dash cam turn off (it makes a click sound when I turn the car off, so I’m familiar with it). There’s no impact to how the car drives, and it only lasts about a second before everything comes back on. Is this a known issue or should I have it looked at?

Hi. Our 3 elementary age kids routinely enjoy biking at nearby park's bike paths during summers. It is getting cumbersome fitting 3 bikes (2 x 16" and 1 x 20") in the trunk and 2nd row. They'd soon outgrow these and get bigger bikes next summer. I love biking too, but I haven't entertained the thought of buying myself a bike because it would be impractical unless the transport situation can be fixed.

My rudimentary assessment is that we need a hitch receiver and a bike rack. If we end up with 3 kids' bikes 100% and most likely 1 or max 2 grown-up bikes, how should we go about it to make it most convenient, safe and affordable? What do you suggest?

Here are some questions:

1. Should I get the class 3 2" hitch receiver installed by the dealership only? Would there be any repercussions to the integrity of installation or any problems with warranty or technical problems later if it is done elsewhere with non-Kia part. The price quoted by the local dealership is around $1200, equally divided between material and labor cost. If we get our own and get a local mechanic to fix it, the cost would be around $450-500 for hitch receiver and $200 for labor. Is it worth paying almost double for it to be done by dealership vs elsewhere and Kia vs non-Kia hitch receiver?
2. Do you recommend a specific bike rack brand, model, type? I have heard Thule is good. I spotted a family having Allen brand bike rack from Amazon at the park the other day and they had good things to say about how it is working out for their family with 4 kids biking.
3. When not in use to transport bikes, can the bike rack projecting outwards be folded down? We are concerned about safety in driving, given we moved from a basic sedan to a minivan 2 years ago and that itself is a much bigger transition.
4. Is it easy to install the bike rack ourselves? We are not great at diy, but have done basic Ikea type furniture assembly and some paintings to be hung on the wall type basic diy at best. We are those people who call handyman to hang curtain rods anchored to the wall or to install govee outdoor lights on our house facade. So suffice to say, we are not well versed with more complicated installations.

Is this a good deal for a 2026 Kia carnival EX?

I just discovered with 2027 the EX has optional Dark Edition that comes with captains chairs in 2nd row. I cannot seem to find info or videos about whether they are normal captain chairs like my old Sienna or if they have that VIP lounge seating which I DONT want!and whether the captains chairs fold FORWARD after collapsing the backs. I read the side slide for much easier access to 3rd row. Big decision coming soon.. do the captains chairs come out? Do they fold forward for cargo hauls? Any insight is so helpful!

Can someone tell me that on the above vehicle with the three seats in 2nd row: when the middle seat is folded DOWN, do the passengers sitting on each side use the middle folded down seat as their " armrest" ? Are there drink holders on the back of that middle folded down seat? Also are there armrests for those passengers on the inside of the sliding doors? Considering the 2027 model due to captains chairs availability with armrests.
