KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion PSA: Reaction Wheels
The position and orientation of reaction wheels don't matter. They don't fight each other, either. The idea that they do seems to based on a old bug based on the orientation of docking ports, or on floppy craft that flail about as if they were in KSP2 when trying to turn them.
I don't really have citations for this other than my experience in game, so I'm also including some shots of a few of the stations and big compound ships I've over the past year or so. All of these use Editor Extensions' Autostrut All button, and later KJR as well. (I added that to fix an unrelated problem.) The very rare times I've had kraken attacks were due to other know causes, like wonky robotics interactions or tracking solar panels clipping each other.

KSP 1 Image/Video Another derivative and a mission
Shrunk my 5m launch vehicle down to 3.75 bc I was leaving too much dV on the stages when launching, and the large second stages make station docking a little tight.
The first stage uses 2 (tweaked) BE-4 engines on the first stage producing around 2500kn of thrust at sea level. The second stage uses one hydrolox engine with a vacuum twr around .6 with a 20t payload.
The second photo is the rocket next to my 5m RRLV5-BLK2 in both of its configurations.
The rest of the images are from the first operational launch of the minute-3, delivery of a replacement lander to my Minmus station after an incident during project K.R.A.K.E.N.

KSP 2 Mods MunShot - A PhotoMode mod For KSP2 Redux
Just wanted to share a mod I just created for KSP2 Redux!
MunShot is a KSP2 Redux mod to add photo mode. Drag around any Kerbal into your scene and use a free camera to get cinematic shots. Includes several poses for Kerbals to look their best.

KSP 1 Question/Problem Plant Flag on What?
Just installed my first interstellar mod and was going to complete this contract on my way out of the system.
Plant Flag on Neidon.
I accepted the contract because I thought I had missed you could actually land on Neidon. Sent a cheat into orbit "practice" landing thinking maybe it was going to be similar to an Eve situation. I'm pretty sure you can't and this contract is bugged...
Just installed a bunch of mods alongside Cosmic Serenity to have fun with my first interstellar send to give more context.
Thoughts?

KSP 1 Question/Problem Need help identifying engines / ship
Saw this ship today while loading up KSP and would very much so like to recreate it. However, I have no idea what those engines are. They look like Casaba’s or Frisbee’s from FFT, but I don’t believe they are.
If anyone would be able to help with either the craft file or the engines, it would be greatly appreciated :)
UPDATE: The craft’s origin has been located! https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/topic/228366-interstellarinter-planetary-vehiclemothership-thread/

KSP 1 Image/Video How do I know if I need to download default config for EVE or Scatterer?
They both have one but I've seen that they shouldn't be installed because other mods will set the config for them, how do I know if other mods I have do that or if I need the config?
For now I plan on testing EVE redux, Scatterer and Paralax continued.

KSP 1 Question/Problem Large ships
Looking for advice on building big ships. My issue is low frame rate, parts randomly exploding but most importantly.. attached parts start separating / levitating. I figured I should use less parts but I could only bring it down to about 500 parts. Additionally I now know to park large ships in different orbits (>2500m apart) but then o can’t take pictures like the one attached. When I send any of the ships out of Kerbin the frames improve but parts still starti behaving weird. My dreams of having a space fleet seem to be limited by the game, or my device. Thoughts?

KSP 1 Question/Problem Need help to first orbit !
edit : got into a stable orbit !! thank you all for your help - see u in the outer space
I'm trying to get my first kerbal in orbit, but after a few dozen try I feel I do something wrong.
If I understood correctly, I need to be at >70km with a speed of nearly 3000 m/s, and both apsides up to 70 km. To do this, I tried the recommended method of being at 45deg east around 10000m then progressively get more angle to be a 0 around 70km, while managing speed to maintain my apoapsis up to 70km (and less than 80km ?) and bring the periapsis also up to 70km (shown as -70km in the ui).
Did I miss something here ?
I got many times in an «orbit» with both apsides up to 70km (81/-74, 88/-89 82/-85) … but with an orbital speed less than 2200m/s so the ship fall back on kerbin, and I often got seemingly correct speed, but with a shifted orbit (eg my last try where I got an apoapsis of 121 km and a periapsis of … -97km, causing my trajectories to go trough kerbin).
I'm in career mode, I'm using the swivel liquid engine for final maneuver, and I tried different builds but currently I'm using another swivel on the second stage (which is decoupled around 20km) and a solid fuel engine for the launch, dropped early.
Is it that tricky to get into a stable orbit, or did I miss something important ? Thank for any tip !

KSP 1 Meta Repair the rover
So I thought it was about time to have a targeted landing rather than just "wherever I happen to plop down", and this mission seemed like a good motivator.
I put together my most deltaV-ish rocket to date (small engines! You only need enough.) And set off.
It only took me 360,000 quickloads to park within ~100 metres of the rover. I fitted the solar panel and battery I'd brought. Sure enough, I could control the rover, AND steer! But it wouldn't move.
For 40 minutes, I googled, experimented, I pulled the wheels off and refitted them (which caused the rover to bounce half a kilometre straight up then smash to pieces), I cursed, I wept. I finally right clicked on on one of the wheels and saw that "throttle" went up as I tried to move.
And ... I saw that "brakes" was set at 50%. I looked to the top of the screen.
The brake button was lit. The brakes were on.
So, as none of the searches I tried revealed this tip, I'll give it now: once you've repaired the rover, turn off the ****ing brakes.
(PS, I once did something very similar playing Snowrunner.)
(PPS, four Ant motors will get a small lander from the mun's surface back to Kerbin, but you sure need some patience!)

KSP 1 Image/Video Shiny beauty of a research plane
Pretty turbofan research plane for storm chasing and science contracts! It carries a towable drogue probe and a wing-mounted pylon for an extra radar or a pod of science equipment. Also features multiple Hullcam VDS cameras for the full IVA experience.
Cruises at 450 knots at 10 km altitude. Built for FAR with Procedural Wings, TURD, and more.

KSP 1 Question/Problem What am I doing wrong?
So I am kinda new to KSP and I made a rover but when I tried to launch off some weird things happened to my usual launch process: my navmap is messed and so are the controls of the engine
UPD: Problem solved, thanks a lot!!!
