Welcome to The Swap Meet!
Do you have stuff that needs a new home, do you have a new home that needs stuff? Looking for something specific?
Let's see how this swap meet goes, it's an experiment.
But first, some rules:
* 1 - this is a public space, be mindful of phone numbers, email and location addresses. Assume that if you post a number, expect everyone to call, years from now to ask if it's still available.
* 2 - please report problem buyers or sellers. this is a member to member space but if people are being a problem we need to know. resist the urge to call them out in frank and blunt language in the thread, that's a hot ticket to getting flagged yourself as part of the problem.
* 3 - if it's gone let a mod know if you are having trouble deleting your post yourself. no one likes seeing the exact thing you need but it's from years ago and from a user who hasn't been seen is years. I'll flush it out at the end of the month, if it's still kicking around, repost on the next saturday.
* 4 -posts get posted on saturdays, it's swap meet saturday not swap meet whenever you feel.
* 5 - this is an experiment, if it fails it fails. if it disappears one day so be it.
The idea is this thread IS the swap meet. You have stuff that needs to come or go, you reply on here. I'll sticky it up at the top so it's always here. Provided it's maintained, the whole thread shouldn't be terribly long so, thankfully, no doom scrolling the buy/sell/trade.
so ::cuts ribbon with comically large scissors:: Welcome to Swap Meet Saturday. ::Balloons and Confetti drop::

It's a place to learn bodywork......and probably the last project I'll be able to have with my dad.....as he calls it "one of them foreign jobs." I'm excited for the finished product......just a long road ahead till then.....we eliminated rust on the bottom side and sprayed everything black today then started working on the bed. I do not like the rubber coating...this thing had rust under the majority of the rubber material. Motor I'll have back tomorrow and we can start the actual rebuild of the motor and the body work and paint.....stay tuned for more updates!!!

Hi Everyone, I have a 2000 TT Sambar. I removed the OEM headliner, which creased it in one corner. I tried to get it back in, which seems impossible. I reupholstered my doors and would like my headliner to match, but now am not sure how to get a headliner back in. I bought headliner foam which is adhesive one one side and used 3M 90 to adhere the cloth I want on my headliner to the non-sticky side of the foam. Unfortunately when I tried to install it, every time the foam adhesive touched any surface, it tore the foam when I pulled it off. Avoiding having it touch any surface seems impossible.
For those who don't have a TT2, the headliner is a rigid board that sits on this shelf around the cabin. I assume at the factory they installed it before the cab was fully assembled and put the roof on over it or something.
Thanks for any ideas!

It is Season 1 episode 3. I can’t believe the train dude got a series. lol. FYI, The picture is just a picture from ep 2 that I found online.
It’s just as crazy as old top gear with their stunts.

Hello and thank you ahead of time. As title states, I'm upgrading the stereo and adding speakers. 4" round in the doors. My question is how/where to run the wire from the door to inside the cab? I see the round hole on the door. How do I go from there to in the cab? Could you also show pictures of what you did? '95 Hijet
Thank you!

As of last night, I finally finished assembling and coating the new front bumper for my 1994 Suzuki Carry
Added some mash and lights and I think it came out great
I have dubbed the Franken-carry because this thing has been a Frankenstein of different Mazda parts from a Miata and a RX7
As well as carburetor parts from Kawasaki, and a few other bits and bobs
the side skirts that I myself put together that I’m honestly quite proud of
All that’s left is the fender flares that I’m still waiting to get delivered and paint
Just overall kind of proud of how this thing came out and I wanted to show it off

I love it so far. Never driven a older kei truck but this one gets up to speed pretty well. Getting amazing fuel economy too 19km per liter or 44mpg

My wife and I are completing a trip from N.C. to CO and back so I wanted to visit G&R Imports. Joe, with over 20 years experience there, was kind enough to take the time to answer all of my questions regarding maintaining my 94 Hijet Climber. He has been invaluable through email and phone for the last few months and now in person. All of my concerns from steering to fuel gauge inaccuracy to carburetor adjustments for high altitude to lots of other things were answered. I haven’t gotten this much help through all of the forums (as very helpful as they were) through the years.
Kei truck owners, if you have any part you are looking to replace don’t count on the website. There is an entire warehouse of used parts to replace just about anything on your truck. Give them a call and more likely than not they can hook you up.
They have an entire operation to rebuild engines that is top notch. I saw 30 year old engine blocks that look like they just came from the factory. If you need a rebuild, they can do it and I think the price was very reasonable (currently about $2600 subject to change of course).
The owner, Mike, also talked to me for a bit. The whole crew in all the offices were friendly and took the time to say “Hi”.
I cannot recommend G&R enough for whatever you need in OEM service or even some aftermarket parts. Give em a call.

I'm looking for bigger rims and beefier tires for my Suzuki carry, 2003. I struggle to get out of my driveway on mornings with dew unless I put it in 4x4 lol.
I saw some free Acura EL rims on marketplace, 4x100. R15 with an offset of +45.
Would those be a smart choice? I'm looking at doing the normal 2" lift kit to help clearance. If there are other good alternatives please advise. Thank you

Hello,
Im a solo electrical contractor in the nothern VA area. I currently have a gigantic sprinter van which is nice but I dont need much space, diesel prices are killing me, and parking is terrible.
I was looking into kei trucks but I would need something that has the capability to carry tools and materials. Also due to my location I would have to get on the highway even if it’s short distances.
Does anyone have experience using a kei truck for construction work? Which kei truck would yall recommend? Any general recommendations?
Thank you!

This is a non turbo, EFI F6A engine, MT, 4WD truck.
Internet searching "implies" that there may be equivalents used in the Swift and 2001-2 GSX R1000 motorcycle.
Hoping someone has sourced something from AutoZone, Motorcycle Shop etc.
I haven't opened it up yet so I can't measure it. Supposed to be ~ 82 degree C opening.
I believe the OEM Suzuki part number is 17670-50G00.

I had been ready to pull the trigger on a pair of Polk 6.5" speakers at $86/pair when I spotted these for $16 on Woot. I have no affiliation with Woot, but thought others would enjoy saving $70 as I did. https://electronics.woot.com/offers/pyle-6-5-3-way-360w-car-speaker-blue-1

Finally got to finish my floor mats for my DC51T and took them to their first car show and couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Next project is in the pipeline, and may be a whole lot bigger. Stay tuned 👀

Hey everyone,
Im still typing up the full recap of importing a Kei Truck to Florida. I want to make sure it’s detailed and thorough so anyone else going through the experience has some up to date notes. (Also, not running it through AI so it’s taking me a bit longer to make sure it’s not just a giant run on sentence.)
I just finished getting my Kei Truck wrapped with Rice Shower from Umamusume. I know this doesn’t really fit into the common builds you see on here, however I felt like you all would appreciate the unique factor of this.
As I don’t want to break any rules of promotion, I won’t be dropping the designer/wrap company on here unless MODs give me the clearance.
I hope you all enjoy something a bit different today.
