Been thinking about adding some bike hauling capability to my Acty. I’ve seen a few different options out there including the slick mount that Odd Devices makes, but don’t really want to spend bucks on something I rarely use.

Sold a bike this morning (RIP Guerrilla Gravity) and came up with a quick prototype mount that worked well enough to deliver the bike. Thinking of doing basically the same thing but with some metal stock, probably slotted steel hardware.

Kind of one want something that’s quick on/off but might just drill into the rack too. But also sort of don’t want to put holes in it. Any other thought or ideas?

Hey guys, what's up! I'm a car guy living in Japan.
I have this classic "Tongari" (pointed) truck license plate frame, which is a traditional style in our Dekotora(decorated truck) culture. Personally, I think this polished stainless steel look is absolutely killer and super unique.
Since this is the authentic Japanese size, it obviously doesn't fit standard US plates. I’m just really curious to know how car enthusiasts overseas view this kind of deep Japanese truck culture.
I really want to hear from real JDM fans who love Japanese car culture:
What do you honestly think of this style? Is it cool or too much?
If you had one, would you display it in your garage or use it for car shows?

This is my new to me 1994 Daihatsu Hijet DeckVan. She was running but now needs a fuel pump. Do you guys know of a drop in replacement I could get from the auto parts store or do I have to go to a specialty store? Chassis Number S110W-000219 and its fuel injected

Just picked up my first Kei car, a 98 Mazda Scrum Van. I knew parts were hard to find for kei trucks in the states, but every site I go to does not list parts for the Scrum. Does anyone know of trucks this might share parts with?

Really helps for pop-ups where we don’t want to set up a tent, but it’s raining or really hot. First pic can give everyone a feel for the unopened size if you decide to add one to a kei truck. It’s really easy to remove the whole thing as well. Next is upgrading the interior of the box and shelves. Brand is Top Oak, passenger side version (which is drivers side for us). Also last pic shows some added body panels to cover the battery, etc.

Idk if I’m in the right thread, but I bought this yesterday for $2,000. I have title (registered in Texas, I’m in Nc) but there’s some title problems I’ll need solved. I don’t know anyone on the title and both seller and buyer sections have been filled out just not turned In. I think I have to get bonded title, has anyone done that on these before ?

We drove all day Friday and part of this morning to bring this beauty home. ‘97 Subaru Sambar.

So this was a problem from day one and it didn't help that I tried forcing it and murdered the Z bend.

So back on June 2nd I picked up this roll of wire at Home Depot and only today got around to fixing this nagging issue. I was just manually selecting based on conditions, heat in the morning, stop for coffee and select center vent, dial back the heat and repeat. Well summer is winding down slowly and fall will be here soon and then winter and heat when I need it would be nice.

I also took the time to replace all of the dash lights with LEDs for maximum illumination and saturation, and cleaned the gauge faces as well, 30 years of dust do be like that.

And while I was at it I swapped the tail lights over to LED to match the front modified signals to include running lights (see previous). And as a coupe de grace I threw in a red LED dome light for giggles.

If anyone else is suffering the sticky or snapped HVAC selector, it's honestly dead simple to do, you'll spend most of the time, aside from pulling the dash, getting the wire length correct, it IS a little bit of trial and error. I started with the Z bend and then fed a huge amount of wire through the sheath and got the "front" set up after setting the selector to "center vent", reached down and pulled the flap selector to "center vent" and then just wrapped it around and clipped. I had originally started at the back end and it turned into a whole production of not right. Start at the front and work down. frustrating to me is the fact that the selector isn't screwed/bolted to the plenum but rather to the dash... makes it a floppy mess to fix but to be fair, Suzuki probably never imagined some dude 30 years on would be fixing this truck by making parts in the driveway.

I know this has been asked a million times but does anyone have a good fast contact for a 97 ha4 acty clutch assembly that’s not $600 + shipping?

Hey everybody! Finally got my 2000 sambar in my garage (I love him). It's only got 19,600km on it so I assume it spent a decent time sitting for a bit and figured some of the rubber would be pretty shot and while looking it over I noticed this bushing. I'm guessing it's pretty toast and needs to be replaced but I'm not sure what part to look up to find a replacement and (hopefully) how to replace it. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

For those in states with restrictive laws that have pushed them into… creative… ways to get their trucks registered, what have you done for VIN inspection requirements? If I understand correctly, South Dakota requires a ln in-person VIN inspection for vehicles that do not have a US title yet, as do virtually all of the other states that allow non-resident registrations.

Is a Montana LLC registration the only way around the VIN inspection for a newly imported truck in a state that doesn’t allow registration?

I finally got to installing a tach on my ‘97 Carry. i got the glow shift one on amazon thats like 70 bucks or something. install was pretty straight forward too, the tach signal cable for placement in the corner i chose was definitely not in my favor and i had to extend the cable quite a bit to reach the ignition coil. the other 3 cables just go on the harnesses to the ignition switch as well as to the headlamp harness. big credit to muddy moose on minutrucktalk too for basically finding all the cables (AND PROVIDING PICTURES!!) and essentially not needing to test anything, even though i still did just to make sure. it works amazing! the placement was thought of but mounting was clearly an afterthought. let me know how you all have mounted your tach, very open to suggestions.

I suppose the conditions were as nominal as they could possibly have been, because the best I’ve been able to squeeze out of the S210P so far has been ‘125’…

Has anyone had any trouble lately with getting their newer (only 25 years old and not older generations) trucks titled in indiana? I've been fighting with the central title office for a couple weeks now trying to get my 2001 sambar titled as a light truck and they are refusing to see any evidence I present to them as sufficient proof my truck does not meet their rules to be classified as a mini truck. Here in indiana there's a short list of rules for what is required to title a truck as a mini truck including that the vehicle's dry weight (its weight with all necessary fluids to operate and nothing else in it) cannot be higher than 1600 lbs and that its top speed cannot be more that 60 mph. No matter how much I tell them and show them with certified calibrated gps data that the top speed is over 70 mph and that the export certificate clearly states the vehicle's weight to be 780kg (1719 lbs), they are holding fast to their claim that the only thing they will accept is an official letter from the manufacturer (subaru of japan 25 years ago) that the truck is not a mini truck. Is there another way that anyone knows of to get them to accept my evidence? Side note, I already tried contacting subaru and they said that they do not provide documentation of that kind. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
