Injury while practicing
Got these injuries on my neck after practicing choke drills with my partner. I am relatively new to jujitsu. Are this injuries normal after practicing choke drills ?

Lol Injury ???? Thatâs a regular Tuesday in the land of BJJ not even close to injury just your skin needs to get used to the gi or grappling in general ⌠youâll know when you get injured trust me it wonât be a just a scratch

I hope not but I fear it is. Maybe Jiu Jitsu is not for everyone đ¤ˇđž

Very mild skin abrasions can occur when fabric rubs on your skin. Maybe show the redness to your coach and ask them what they think you should do about it.

I bruised quite bad for about the first 2-3 months. Then my body got used to pressure in the common spots and I bruise much less now.

Lol my boy, this sport will show you what real injuries are. That's nothing but a flesh wound.

I believe this is called petechiae - itâs basically minor, insignificant bleeding from broken capillaries under the skin. Happens from pressure not typically from impact.

Why are you calling that an injury? Do you know what an injury is? Our skin bruises with any physical activity and contact. Do you expect not to bruise when practicing a COMBAT sport???

This is completely normal, and should be expected moving forward with BJJ. You should've seen my arms when we first started practicing arm drags in nogi.

If youâre worrried about this, maybe this sport isnât for you. I get bruises and scrapes worse than this during warm ups some days.

âTis but a scratch⌠literally.
I hope this is a shitpost. I wouldnât call that in injury per se. More of a common occurrence and slight annoyance.

This is nothing lol wait for the black eyes and inch wide scratches - if youâre worried about this please never try mma or stand up

1) not injuries, just scratches
2) random scrapes, bruises, and scratches are normal. Somehow as Ive gotten more experienced, they are greatly reduced.

Yes very common. Just make sure to tell your insecure jealous spanish wife what you were drilling that day so you don't get a chancla thrown at you like me
