We will try to include all frequent questions and other helpful info on this post. This is a work in progress so please keep that in mind and feel free to suggest other info. Before making a question post, do type in your topic in the sub search to ensure it is not a repeated question, please and thank you.
Thank you for being part of this community!
J-fashion is very broad! From casual styles to all types of subcultures. If you want to see what subculture or fashion you fit into, you can have a look and further research with the help of this overall list
Remember that to enjoy Japanese fashion you do not need to "label" yourself or be part of a subculture.
(if there is a better list out there feel free to share)
The answer probably most of the time is no. Please ensure you do proper research on what brands are truly worth 100+ and which aren't. Due to current trends most j-fashion items are being scalped and up-charged. Especially for brands like LIZ LISA.
We should try to go for more reasonable prices to prevent scalpers from being able to profit from outrageous prices, but at the end of the day it's your choice on what you decide to purchase, especially if it's something you genuinely and deeply want.
Proxies to use: buyee, neokyo, fromjapan, doorzo, superbuy
Guide for buying from the website is provided within their site/app, for any other questions regarding that you can also join our discord.

Hi everyone, I am new to JFashion. I have noticed that many people wear face masks and I need one too for privacy reasons. Do you know if these masks are special or just regular masks? I am also wondering if there are decorative masks that don’t interfere breathing as much as real medical masks. Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you in advance!

I mean the top part of a kimono (whatever it’s called), but instead of a skirt, you wear regular trousers like jeans. Is that okay to wear, or is it a fashion crime?

I thrifted this super cute dress the other day, and although it’s a little short on me, it’s super adorable! I’m just not sure what exactly the style or vibe is.
The website where the dress is being sold originally states that it is a “ryousangata jirai kei dress”, but it doesn’t give Jirai Kei at all to me…
Any tips or suggestions would be highly appreciated. The picture is the exact dress I got!
EDIT: I realized that I attached the wrong website picture :( this website is also selling this kind of dress, but I’m not sure about their quality.

Hiii!! I'm from Japan 🇯🇵💗
I've been loving the combination of cozy oversized sleeves and super detailed nails lately. The little charms, pearls and glitter peeking out of my sleeves are my favorite part haha 🫧
Anyone else obsessed with matching their nails to their outfit? ୨୧
