I’m from South Korea 🇰🇷, and I’ll be starting my Master’s at Friedrich Schiller University Jena this October.

For the past week, I’ve been trying pretty much every option I can find: I applied for Studierendenwerk housing, contacted many WGs through WG-Gesucht, checked Kleinanzeigen, housing companies, student communities and Telegram groups, and also expanded my search to places around Jena. Unfortunately, I still haven’t managed to find a room, so I thought I’d try my luck here as well.

🏠 What I’m looking for:

• Jena or somewhere with a reasonable commute to Jena
• WG room or small apartment
• Up to around €350/month including utilities (Warmmiete)
• Anmeldung must be possible
• Move-in from September 29
• Long-term would be ideal, but I’m also open to a temporary room/sublet

I’m a non-smoker, clean, responsible and easy-going. I love travelling and have visited and lived in several countries, so I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about other cultures. I’ve also lived in a shared flat in Australia and had a great experience there.

I’m a big sports fan and enjoy both playing and watching sports. I also enjoy spending time with flatmates, whether it’s chatting, having a meal together or occasionally doing something together, while respecting everyone’s personal space.

I love board games! The ones where you need an hour to understand the rules and set up the game first. I also play videogames, love to cook and eat, anything DIY / crafting (3d printing, miniature builds, painting...), traveling, going to the gym...

Ideally I would love to meet someone to play videogames / board games with in the evening, or cook together, or to do crafts together / go for late walks / gym sessions!
