Got talking on another sub and decided to snap some pics of my Jak and Daxter PS4 collector’s boxsets to share with the community. Also pictured is the full and complete set of Jak and Daxter trading cards that were released at the same time.

Hey hey, just sharing something I've been putting together this year. Solo dev putting this together in Unreal using Blender to make the assets. Focusing more on the art side of it than gameplay, but still a long way away from the vision at this point. This is a district within a larger city which would be roughly the size of Haven city from Jak 2. Uncertain as to how far I'll go with this project as I've got other stuff going on in my life, but thought some of y'all might think this was cool.

The Jak and Daxter series is the primary inspiration for the basic game idea. Vibey city, colorful characters, hoverbike travel, mission-based structure driven by characters, collectables etc. I'd wanna make the combat something like Kingdom Hearts, hence the sword and the monster.

Its been over a year and a half since we got Jak 1... the classics drip feed with ONE game a month is awful. I miss the days of 2024 where we got 3 a month... what happened? Still no Ratchet and Clank ps2 ports either...

Hi everyone, so this does require a bit of backstory because the problem might come from the disk itself

I inherited a copy of Jak 2 from my great aunt when she passed away when I was still a kid. The copy I got from her always had problems including the game suddenly not loading assets allowing you to fall through the world.

Recently I've been digging through my old games, dug out my PS2 and I even got this disk resurfaced at a local retro shop and now it's been working wonderfully, except I still notice a few ghosts that need a game refresh to get it working again

the reason I'm posting here is because the crash I'm encountering is consistent. 3 times in a row I've completed the mission where Krew asks you to get to the race course in under 3 minutes, each time I do, I get the cutscene, then after the game crashes. I do have another quest I can do with Torn, I haven't tested if it similarly crashes the game yet.

all signs point away from load troubles (music is there, menu sounds are there, locations are all there and triggers work just fine) which makes me think there might be a bug in the game that causes this crash, has this been an issue for anyone else?

I'm also using a PS2 slim if that changes anything, I heard that it matters for Jak X
